Justin DeGeorge is the minor antagonist of The Mentalist. He is a witness of crimes of a drug dealer named Adrian Essex. He was played by John Mese.

Biography

Justin was an ordinary investor and had a wife and daughter. However, it is implied that he was abusive to his wife. Soon, his wife shot herself. However, he witnessed the crimes of a drug dealer named Adrian Essex. A local cop named Gorman and a member of Teresa Lisbon's team named Grace Van Pelt were sent to protect him. However, Justin was still killed. His daughter Trina went missing. Patrick Jane found her, but she did not remember anything. Essex was interrogated, but he behaved impudently and claimed that he did not know who killed Justin, and then fled. However, thanks to Patrick Jane's guess, Essex was found and arrested. His guilt in drug trafficking and at least five murders was proven. His hitman was the same policeman Gorman. Gorman tried to kill Trina, but was killed by Grace Van Pelt. However, it turns out that although Essex hired Gorman to kill Justin, Gorman did not do it. His daughter Trina did it. The thing is, Justin collected matchboxes. And one day Trina needed matches to light a candle. She decided to take matches from her father's collection. However, she found a matchbox from the hotel where her mother died. And Justin claimed that he had never been to that hotel. This means that he killed his wife. Realizing that his daughter had exposed him, he threatened to kill her too if she told anyone. In self-defense, Trina killed her dad. Teresa wants to arrest her, but Patrick (who knew everything from the beginning) convinces her not to do it.
