The Jyamato are a mysterious race of creatures serving as enemies in the Desire Grand Prix and the secondary antagonists of Kamen Rider Geats.

They are grown by Archimedel, who is secretly an employee of the DGP. Each round of the DGP features a different variant of Pawn Jyamato, tailored to the theme of the round, as obstacles for the Kamen Riders.

History[]

The Jyamato were originally created by the Desire Grand Prix Staff to serve as enemies for the Desire Grand Prix. At some point, after the Desire Grand Prix became a game where the winning Rider would get their wish granted, the Jyamato were altered to be much stronger. The Rider who won the DGP either by defeating the most Jyamato or outlasting the other Riders would be rewarded by having their desire granted. Those who got eliminated each round would have their bodies delivered to the Jyamar Garden so Archimedel could feed them to the Jyamato saplings.

In the "Daybreak" season of the DGP, the Jyamato wave was defeated when Kamen Rider Geats destroyed their living base, the Slug Fortress Jyamato, and won the first Desire Grand Prix. However, the Jyamato continued attacking and a second Desire Grand Prix began.

Archimedel, the Jyamato gardener, at some point began to resent the Jyamato being used simply as fodder for the DGP, viewing them as his children, and secretly sided with Beroba in her plot to usurp the DGP and seize control of the Goddess of Creation. Archimedel would conduct covert experiments to make the Jyamato stronger and smarter, with them evolving to become capable of speaking English and using Desire Drivers to become Jyamato Riders.

Archimedel and Beroba would eventually stop sending out Jyamato hordes and begin saving the Jyamato they grew for a massive attack on the DGP. They also recruited Michinaga Azuma and Daichi Isuzu to their side after both were eliminated, promising to grant their desires if they helped them usurp the DGP. When Chirami took to the field to stage a DGP round without the Jyamato, Beroba ambushed him and stole his Vision Driver. Needing Niram's Vision Driver to get the Goddess of Creation to grant her wish, Beroba initiated the "Jyamato Grand Prix" and promised to grant the the desire of whichever Jyamato succeeded in defeating Niram and claiming his Vision Driver. Among the Jyamato participating in it was Michinaga, who had become a human-Jyamato hybrid.

Types[]

Pawn Jyamato[]

Pawn Jyamato are the lowest form of Jyamato and the most common enemies in the Desire Grand Prix. They are capable of adapting their forms and abilities, for example, in the "Thief" stage they attempt to steal items from the players, while in the "Zombie" stage they're capable of biting Riders to turn them into zombies.

Rook Jyamato[]

Rook Jyamato lead Pawn Jyamato into battle. They're significantly stronger than Pawn Jyamato and serve as mid-bosses for some stages.

Bishop Jyamato[]

Bishop Jyamato are another Jyamato variant who lead Pawn Jyamato into battle and serve as mid-bosses for some rounds.

Fortress Jyamato[]

The Fortress Jyamato are beings who serve as the living headquarters of the Jyamato.
