~ K |
K is a supporting antagonist in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. He is the Consul of Colony 4.
He was voiced by Mitsuo Iwata in Japanese and Eric Meyers in English. The latter also voiced Sever in Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
Appearance[]
K is an elderly warrior with red eyes and red armor, with his cape curving up to behind his head like a vampire (befitting his deeds). His helmet with black lenses covering his eyes sort of resembles the helmet of fellow Nintendo character, Samus Aran.
Biography[]
Little is known about K's origin. He was the Consul assigned to Colony 4 and leader of Ethel. He was first seen somewhere in Aionios seeing a signal from D that the Ouroboros has reawakened. He was next present in Origin with the other Consuls ridiculing D for his failure for defeating the Ouroboros. N appears before K and requests that he go after them next, to which K agreed.
K then used a flying vessel to transport himself back to Colony 4. Upon arriving and being greeted before Ethel and her side Bolearis, K rants about his displeasure of the dust and fog surrounding the colony, mockingly stating that it benefited its Dirt rank. Taking them inside his quarters, K requests Ethel to take care of a band of deserters that were approaching the colony. To ensure Ethel is unaware that it was Noah who K was talking about, he manipulates everyone's iris to view the Ouroboros as shadowy monsters.
In the Eagus Wilderness, Noah and friends are hunted down by the Colony 4 Ferronis, unsure as to why as Noah, Eunie, and Lanz know Ethel for she once saved them when Colony 14 was destroyed. Eventually, they discover that the black fog blocks out control over the soldiers' irises and allow Ethel to see their true identities. Suddenly, K appears behind Ethel and strikes her down with a summoned lightning bolt for her failure and prepares to face on the team himself. They defeat his base form until he transforms into his Moebius form.
K proceeds to drain life energy from the Ferronis' Flame Clock, killing all the remaining soldiers around him and healing his wounds no matter how many times the Ouroboros strike at him, taunting the heroes to surrender themselves or else he will absorb the life force of everyone in the colony. Eventually, Noah comes up with an idea to destroy the Flame Clock, and using the Lucky Seven provided by Riku, slices the Flame Clock in half and disperses the life energy, horrifying K as the Flame Clocks were designed to be indestructible.
With his immortality severed, the Ouroborus overwhelm K and defeat him, crying out that he didn't want to die. Once K dropped dead, Lanz removed his helmet to expose an old, wrinkled face. Feeling K's essence fading away, Noah and Mio send him off despite his evil acts.
Afterwards, Consuls stopped relying on their Irises so much since it led to K's death. D mocked him for him relying on it so much, but B defended K saying his sound plan would've worked without the black fog and the fact that it was in the area at the time was just bad luck.
