Ka-Hor is a minor antagonist in the animated series Invincible. He is an ancient undead Egyptian who was cursed and imprisoned by his own people within his tomb. Ka-Hor attempts to return to the world of the living but is consistently thwarted in humorous and ironic ways.
He is an original character created exclusively for the Invincible animated series and doesn't exist in the comics. His recurring gag of being awakened, nearly escaping, and then getting trapped again adds comic relief to the otherwise intense storyline.
Ka-Hor is voiced by Clancy Brown, who also voices other characters in the series such as Damien Darkblood and General Kregg.
History[]
Ka-Hor's life before his reanimation to a mummy is unknown, but due to his appearance it could be assumed he could have possibly been a ruler of sorts. Eventually, he would pass and his body was placed into a tomb, though his spirit was still active and imprisoned with a curse that prevented him from leaving. The only way Ka-Hor could escape his confinement would be by possessing a living, male host and using them to leave. He would also be remembered by cult-like worshipers.
Ka-Hor first appears in Season 1, Episode 4, "Neil Armstrong, Eat Your Heart Out," where a worshiper named Zaeim unearthed Ka-Hor's tomb and awoke him, but was possessed due to Ka-Hor needing his body to exit the tomb. He was then inadvertently stopped by a sandstorm caused by Invincible which sealed and buried his tomb once more.

In Season 2, Episode 8, "I Thought You Were Stronger," Jane, Zaeim’s daughter, and Riley, a minor superhuman—discovered and entered the tomb. Ka-Hor attempted to initiate his escape but refused to possess either of them, stating that he needed a living male host. Jane criticized him for this outdated and sexist belief. Before any further confrontation could occur, another sandstorm—again triggered by Invincible’s high-speed flight—sealed the tomb once more, trapping Ka-Hor with the two women.
Ka-Hor returns briefly in Season 3, Episode 7, "What Have I Done?" during the events of the Invincible War, Nogogglesible crashes into Ka-Hor's tomb during his fight with The Immortal. He is attacked by Ka-Hor who attempts to possess him which confuses the Immortal. However, Lensless Invincible manages to break free before flying off and resuming his fight against the Immortal. Ka-Hor then panics, since without a host, he cannot survive outside his tomb. In a state of urgency, he crawls back inside just as Riley exits with a barely alive Jane through the hole. Riley states how Ka-Hor's people must have cursed him for a reason and to think about that, though he retorts by exclaiming his relief to be rid of those two and Riley calls Ka-Hor a "misogynistic jerk" before leaving.
Personality[]
Ka-Hor is malevolent, proud, and full of self-importance. Though his life before death is unknown, his attitude makes it clear he once held a position of power. He acts as though it is his natural right to command others and be worshiped, even long after death.
He is stuck in the mindset of an ancient world and its beliefs. Ka-Hor is noticeably sexist and/or misogynistic, holding strong biases. He sees men as more suitable for power and views women as unfit for his goals, which often causes problems for him. Ka-Hor reacts with confusion or irritation when people challenge these beliefs, showing that he does not understand or even respect more open-minded views.
Ka-Hor believes he is always in control, but he often overestimates his power. When things do not go his way, he quickly becomes desperate and afraid. Even though he acts like a powerful force, he is often left scrambling when plans fail, revealing how weak he really is without a host or followers.
He is manipulative, harsh, and speaks down to others. Anyone who questions him is seen as lesser. Despite all this, there is a sad and pathetic side to him. Ka-Hor is a once-great figure who now spends his days trapped and cursed, a forgotten threat.
Powers and Abilities[]

- Necromantic Influence: He exhibits a degree of mystical control, including the ability to activate and manipulate elements of his tomb.
- Undead Resilience: As a mummy, Ka-Hor is immune to aging and resists typical forms of physical harm.
