Kabochumpkin was the pumpkin and witch-themed Machine Beast of the Machine Empire Baranoia serving Prince Buldont and a supporting antagonist in Chouriki Sentai Ohranger: The Movie.
She was voiced by Keiko Yamamoto who also voiced Bara Hungry later in Ohranger.
Biography[]
Past[]
As with all members of the Machine Empire Baranoia, Kabochumpkin was built by Emperor Bacchus Wrath and Empress Hysteria some 65 million years ago on Planet Baranoia. Along with the rest of the Machine Beasts and the Barlo Soldiers, Kabochumpkin helped them to devastate and conquer multiple planets.
Ohranger[]
Millions of years later, in 1999, Bacchus Wrath and his Empire return to Earth and launch an invasion of Earth but the Ohrangers arise to oppose them.
Shortly after the death of Bara Missiler, Prince Buldont decides to kill the Ohrangers overly theatrically. As such, he sets up a movie called the Machine Empire Century with Acha and Kocha and some Barlo Soldiers before recruiting four Machine Beasts to act as the muscle in his plan; Faucetchuck, Locker Knight, Cat Signal and Kabochumpkin as well as Camera Trick to act as his way of kidnapping his "stars." After Goro and Yuri infiltrate Buldont Studios in search of the kidnapped children, the Trojan Horse prop produces a black ball which turns into Kabochumpkin before flying off and kidnapping Momo after the other three Ohrangers are trapped in a warehouse. Although she tries to cook them though, Momo is able to morph and break the rope when Kabochumpkin is shot by lasers so she turns into a pumpkin and blasts them but they shoot her with their King Blasters so she retreats. When the climax of the movie fails as the Ohrangers survive an ambush by Barlo Soldiers and save humans from having thier limbs cut off, Kabochumpkin and the other Machine Beasts ambush them; Kabochumpkin using powerful waves of fire to torture them before blasting them down with his allies. Although the Ohrangers then shoot them all with the Big Bang Buster, they survive and merge together into Steam Punk only for all four Machine Beasts to die when he falls from a bridge to his death.
Personality[]
Kabochumpkin was a witch-like creature who proved to be a sadistic killer but spoke almost exclusively in laughs.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Durability: Kabochumpkin was unfazed by being repeatedly shot by the King Blasters and survived the Big Bang Buster finisher unscathed.
- Pumpkin Fire Attack: Kabochumpkin could generate six pumpkins around her enemies and make them project fire to cook them.
- Pumpkin Transformation: Kabochumpkin could crouch down and turn into a pumpkin to gain extra protection.
- Bullet Blasts: Kabochumpkin could also spray powerful bullets from her pumpkin mouth in this form.
- Eye Blasts: Kabochumpkin could spray orange energy from her eyes that, when combined with the other Machine Beasts' blasts, completely defeated the Ohrangers.
- Fusion: Kabochumpkin was able to fuse with the other three Machine Beasts to form Steam Punk.

- Broom: Kabochumpkin wielded a stereotypical witch's broom in battle.
- Flight: By placing it between her legs, Kabochumpkin could fly around on her broom at high speeds.
- Flame Waves: Kabochumpkin could spray powerful orange flames from the tip of her broom handle to roast the Ohrangers.
