Kabura Tsuibami (終喰 鏑) is a character from Kakegurui series. She is a member of the Hundred Devouring Families and the head of Tsuibami household.
After beating Yumeko in a gambling match when she was young, Kabura became an older sister figure to her when Yumeko came to be raised by the Tsuibami clan.
Appearance[]
As a teenager, Kabura appears as a young girl of average height. She has wavy shoulder-length blonde hair with brown roots and brown eyes. Her most noticable features are tattoos on the outside of her arms and thighs. She also spots freckles on her face.
Kabura appears to be wearing the standard Hyakkaou spring uniform, with her shirt having an opened collar.
After the timeskip, Kabura has longer hair, which she keeps in a short ponytail. She also wears all black suit and black high heels.
Personality[]
Kabura is a tomboyish girl who at first seemed to have a kind personality, as shown when she sympathizes with Souko Jabami when they first met and becoming friends with her, but in reality, Kabura is a cruel and manipulative person, seeing Souko's face in complete desperation made her think on how it was 'the best face ever'. She also showed twisted perversion towards Tsugiko.
Realizing Yumeko’s abnormal skill and desire for gambling, Kabura manipulated Tsugiko and Souko into handing over Yumeko to her with the intent of raising her and nurturing her addiction to gambling.
Kabura's obsession towards Yumeko and her addiction to gambling may be fulled by her own experiences, as the fellow "broken child". However, unlike Yumeko who appears to have signs of empathy and connections with her close family, particularly with her older sister, Kabura's main goals are just to simply relieve the boredom and act on her own desires, even if it means to hurt multiple people in the process. It also seems that she may have some mental issues as she reveals that, much like with Yumeko, she was born with a mindset fundamentally different from the norm.

Kabura appears during Yumeko's flashback of her older sister in the past. A first year student attending Hyakkaou Academy, Kabura befriends fellow first year student Souko Jabami. Later meeting Souko’s aunt Tsugiko, Kabura lends Tsugiko over 8 billion yen in order to gamble with Souko for the title of head of their family. When Souko falls unconscious due to overwhelming panic and stress, Kabura watches as Tsugiko gambles with Yumeko, who takes Souko’s place, and is defeated by her. Realizing Yumeko potential, Kabura challenges Yumeko to a gambling match, and, should Yumeko lose, she would belong to the Tsuibami family. Yumeko happily accepts the challenge and is subsequently defeated by her opponent.
With Yumeko in her possession, she requests the Momobami family to not allow Souko Jabami to borrow money from them, as she wants to avoid any possibility of Souko winning back custody of her younger sister. She further explains to Kirari, the Momobami family head, that the Tsuibami family intends to raise Yumeko in an environment that will nurture her lust for gambling and further increase her skills, elaborating that Souko would not be a suitable guardian for her. In order to prevent Souko from influencing Yumeko, Kabura forbid them from seeing each other, and asks Kirari to forbid any loans from Momobami family for Souko.
Etymology[]
- The name Kabura means "arrowhead" (鏑).
- Her surname Tsuibami means "last meal" (終喰), 終 being the kanji for end, and 喰 being the kanji for eat.
- In Chapter 105, Kabura revealed that her family were financiers, and that they were wealthy enough to provide Tsugiko Jabami with eight billion yen for her to use in her gamble against her nieces.
- Kabura's tattoo patterns are very similar to those among Yakuza members. Since her family deals with financing, and Kabura got her tattoos as a teenanger, and claims to be the head of her family, there's a possibility that her family could have connections with mafia or human trafficking.
