Kaelie is a supporting antagonist in Season 2 of the Freeform television series Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments. She was a Seelie Knight and former fling of the Shadowhunter Jace Herondale. She was played by Michelle Argyris.
Biography
Kaelie has had multiple flirtation and sexual encounters with the Shadowhunter Jace Herondale. When her brother Samuel died during the attack on New York Institute where Jace accidentally charged the Soul-Sword and Valentine activated it, Kaelie felt hopeless and angered, feeling that the Nephilim led them to a massacre. She sought revenge on Shadowhunters by killing a couple of them and staging their murders to look like they were done by different groups of Downworlders to instigate unrest and a potential war. She was eventually tracked down by fellow Seelie Knight Meliorn. Just as she was about to de-rune and kill the young Shadowhunter Max Lightwood, Meliorn arrived with Isabelle Lightwood and Raphael Santiago, and she was killed in the confrontation.
Trivia
- Not surprisingly, Kaelie was the only Downworlder to become evil and vengeful, especially when she intends to seek revenge against the Shadowhunters by making them pay for her brother's death during the attack on the New York Institute where most of the Downworlders were killed by Valentine after Jace unintentionally charged the Soul-Sword and the latter activated it.
