Kage Von Stryker is a supporting antagonist in Archie Comics' Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series. He is the son of the Dingo leader, Helmut Von Stryker, who overthrew his father to become leader of the Dingo Regime and aligned himself with the Eggman Empire all so he could have the means to wipe out the Echidnas.
Appearance[]
Kage is a Dingo with brown fur and brown eyes. After throwing in with Eggman he turned himself into a cyborg with the right side of his body being made of out of a metallic white color with the left side of his body all being cybernetic with the Eggman logo on his chest. The right side of his body had a black uniform with yellow belt with a red center.
History[]
Background[]
Kage Von Stryker was the son of the leader of the Dingo Regime, Helmut Von Stryker. While he used to look up to his father, he became disappointed in him being willing to work with the Dingo’s sworn enemies, the Echidnas. Now viewing his father as weak, he took his chance when the Eggman Empire arrived on Angel Island, he made an agreement with with Dr. Eggman that if he gave the Dingos technological advancements and the ability to wipe out the Echidna race, they would serve the Eggman Empire as enforcers. Due to his father being displeased with the deal, Kage rallied his men against his father and had him banished to wander the desert in Sandopolis Zone.
Conquest of Angel Island[]
His first order of business would be to force his father's old comrade Harry back into the army despite him enjoying his life as a Cabi driver. Then he and his Dingo Regime would conquer Angel Island for the Eggman Empire destroying the capital of Echidnaopolis and either killing most of the Echidna's or imprisoning them in Prison Camps as slaves. He would end up capturing Knuckles father Locke and under Eggman's orders would torture him to try and find the location of the Master Emerald. However due to the arrival of Sonic, Knuckles, and the Chaotix they would liberate one the prison camps and free Locke with Sonic and Knuckles easily defeating Kage. Kage would later find out that Harry had helped the Chaotix free Locke so in retribution he would horribly scar him to the point he needed a hood to cover his face and bandages all across his body.
Despite Echidnaopolis being rebuilt to a degree, Kage would have his regime destroy it again with him wiping out ninety percent of the Echidna race due to them dying in the attacks or dying in the prison camps.
Death at the hands of Enerjak[]
Despite the Echidnas having been reduced to living in a small village Kage was still determined to wipe them all out and sent his soldiers to destroy the village only for them to be stopped the the Destructix defending the Echidnas. Kage's reckoning would eventually come as Enerjak arrived at his city and removed all of his Dingo's cybernetics and banished them to Sandopolis Zone. Despite Kage's lack of concern at the banishment of his people claiming he could rally them again and that Enerjak was just another Echidna for him to kill, Enerjak would disintegrate him instantly along with the rest of Dingo City.
Personality[]
Kage was a hot-headed Mobian Dingo who had the tendency to get over his head even when fighting stronger opponents such as Sonic and Enerjak. He is shown to be quite proud of his ability to kill Echidnas, bragging about the amount of them he has killed. He is also shown to be quite sadistic as shown when he tortured Locke. He is shown to also be quick tempered, assaulting his comrade Harry even over the slightest mistake. Like most dingos, he is shown to harbor hatred for the Echidna race but unlike his father Helmut he took his hatred to a genocidal extreme wanting to kill them all. He also shows zero care for his own race dismissing his father as weak, horribly mistreating Harry and not caring about his personal feelings, and showing no concern over all of his men being banished by Enerjak.
