Kai San or Uncle Kai or simply Kai, is the protagonist of the 1996 Hong-Kong exploitation horror crime thriller known as Ebola Syndrome.
He was portrayed by Anthony Wong, who also played Wong Chi-hang in The Untold Story.
Biography[]
Kai San and his boss's wife were having an affair. The boss and a crew member walked up on them having sex. The boss began hitting and beating Kai and told him he'll cut his genitalia. Kai says he'll do it himself, the boss gives it to him, and Kai takes the scissors, and murders the boss, his wife, and the crew member. The only person that survived was their little daughter, Kai was about to kill her, but somebody walked in on them, and reported Kai to the law.
After the murders, Kai moved to Africa, where he worked as a butcher for a restaurant. There, the owner's wife hated Kai and constantly bragged about him. Kai and the owner went multiple times to buy pigs for the restaurant. The two went into an African cult, where they got two pigs. They end up having a car crash, and Kai walked and saw a black woman passing out. Kai ends up getting on top of her and raping her. Turns out she has ebola, and she transitioned it to Kai, she wouldn't let Kai pull out, so Kai smashed her head with a rock.
Kai ends up having seizures dye to the ebola and gets treated by the restaurant owner. However, the wife refuses to help and tries to kick Kai out of his horrible state. Turns out Kai does not get affected by the ebola and tries raping the owner's wife. The owner comes back and tries to defend his wife. Kai ends up murdering the owner, the owner's wife, and another person that walked inside the restaurant. Kai ends up making hamburgers out of their flesh and serves them to the customers.
After serving the customers, the people began getting sick from ebola-infected hamburgers. Kai ends up moving back to Hong Kong, where he has sex with prostitutes, and keeps transmitting his decease. Kai ends up meeting up with his ex-wife, whom he was with 10 years ago. The two were getting along, which escalated in the wife finding out about Kai's crimes on the news, Kai gets inraged, and takes a butcher knife, wanting to kill her and her daughter. The wife and the daughter try running away. The mother gets infected by ebola from having sex with Kai, the daughter dies from being shot accidentally by a cop, while Kai was holding her in his hands, and Kai gets killed by the police, by burning him to death.
