Kaibutsu Doubler (カイブツダブラー Kaibutsu Daburā, lit. Monster Doubler) is a minor antagonist of Uchuu Keiji Gavan who appears in episode 33. It is a Doubler that is hatched from one of the eggs sent to Earth by Makuu which was founded by a young boy named Hiroshi Ishikawa.
It is voiced by late Eisuke Yoda, who also voiced Volcano Mask General Magman in Himitsu Sentai Gorenger, Shine in J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai, Führer Taboo in Dai Sentai Goggle V, and Lu-Long, Parchis, Demost and Silver Shark in Sekai Ninja Sen Jiraiya.
Biography[]
After Makuu sending the Doubler eggs to Earth to have them all terrorized around the world once they're hatched, one of the eggs were left in a drainage ditch which was discovered by a young boy named Hiroshi Ishikawa and is taken to be cooked along with him, Kojiro Oyama and Tsukiko Hoshino. However, the egg was immediately hatched inside the oven and the Doubler, in larval state, is seen floating above Hiroshi, Kojiro and Tsukiko, frightening them as result. It went to bit Kojiro in the arm which made him bleed. Retsu would later discovering about what happened, but haven't found the newly-hatched Doubler yet.
Later that night, Retsu continued to search for the Doubler, but discovered that it has brutally wounded a dog owned by a teenager named John. Once Retsu enters the warehouse, the Doubler later immediately ambushed him from above until Retsu had to transform into Gavan to counterattack it. It later ran away from Gavan in fear.
The next morning, the Doubler breaks into the Ishikawa household and attacked the siblings until Retsu went to save them and escorted them into Kojiro's apartment for safekeeping. The Doubler went to beat up Retsu until threw him away to the railway with steam engines. After Retsu transformed into Gavan, he continued to fight against the Doubler before delivering a Spiral Kick on it. After they're dragged into Makuu Space, both Gavan and the Doubler continued to fight until the latter leads the fighters into firing at the former, which Gavan had to call upon Gavion for a backup. Finally, Gavan managed to destroy the Doubler with Gavan Dynamic.
