Kaijus are titular main antagonists in the science fiction action anime and manga series Kaiju No. 8. They are immense species of giant sentient beings that eat humans roaming around the world seeking to cause destruction and devour other beings.

Appearances

Most kaijus are relatively immense size, attaining over the height of several buildings. They can come in many difference appearances, including the look of natural wild animals or even alien-like. Any kaiju has a core nestled in its body, serving as its essential organ and vulnerability. As kaiju vary in type, the core's location shifts accordingly, distinguishing the weak point unique to each creature.

Behaviours

Most kaiju behave like typical wild animals, having not much source of intelligence and only seek to devour others. Some rare kaijus have the tendency seeking to possess humans, due to their small size, instead of devouring of them. So far, the only kaiju that has been shown to do such, is the mysterious flying kaiju who possessed Kafka Hibino, transforming him into the so-called Kaiju Numer 8.
