Hi. This is Thesecret1070. I am an admin of this site. Edit as much as you wish, but one little thing... If you are going to edit a lot, then make yourself a user and login. Other than that, enjoy Villains Wiki!!!
Kalara was born Jessica Wolff, a Starfleet officer serving aboard the USS Franklin. Their ship crashlanded on the planet Altamid in an uncharted nebula and was considered lost by Starfleet. Wolff was one of the survivors, who found technology left behind by an ancient civilization which allowed them to extend their lives by draining energy from others. Over the thirty years they spent there, they gradually mutated to resemble the aliens whose lives they drained until they no longer resembled humans. Wolff became known as Kalara and her fellow crew member, Anderson Le, became known as Manas while their captain, Balthazar Edison, became known as Krall.
Kalara shared Krall's belief that being part of the Federation had made humans soft and that they needed a challenge to reach their full potential. To this end, they plotted to use an ancient biological weapon, the Abronath, to wipe out the entire population of Starbase Yorktown as a symbol of Federation diversity. They discussed the Abronath had been retrieved by the USS Enterprise, unaware of its true nature, and was stored aboard the ship, so made plans to retrieve it.
Played a key part of the plan, Kalara travelled to Yorktown where she posed as a member of the crew of an alien science ship. She claimed they had crashed in the nebula and she had gone for help, needing someone to retrieve them. She guided the Enterprise to Altamid, where the ship was attacked by Krall's drone ships and severed in half, with it crashing on the planet.
Kalara travelled down to the surface in an escape pod, where she soon met up with Captain Kirk and Ensign Chekov. Kirk realized that she had known Krall would attack them. Kalara now claimed that Krall had captured her crew and promised to release them if she brought the Enterprise to them. The three of them returned to the wreck of the Enterprise where Kirk claimed he had retrieved the Abronath. Kalara sent a message to Krall's base saying she had the Abronath, only to realize Kirk had seen through her second deception: Not only was the Abronath not on board but he had arranged for Chekov to trace her signal and learn the location of Krall's base.
Joined by Krall's troops, Kalara pursued Kirk and Chekov through the ship. Kirk managed to trigger the ship's thrusters as he and Chekov left to safety, causing the Enterprise's saucer to topple over and land on top of Kalara, crushing her to death. With Kalara dead, the crew members of the Enterprise were avenged, for she had lured them to their deaths.
