AAAAAND CUT!
~ Kanaguri when he uses his clapperboards to behead someone.
I'm not an assassin. I'm a filmmaker. I don't have killing skills or weapons. All I have is my ability as a first-rate filmmaker!
~ Kanaguri's obsession over films as an assassin.

Kanaguri is a major antagonist in the action manga series, Sakamoto Days. He an assassin who works as a secret member of the Slur's group as well as a member of the Order of the Japanese Association of Assassins. Outside of his occupation as an assassin, Kanaguri is also a renowned movie director.

Appearance[]

Kanaguri is a slim man with short hair and green emerald-colored eyes and long eyelashes. His hair is a black color cut in a buzzcut. He wears a black hat on his head. His outfit is an old-fashioned styled black coat with white cuffs on his sleeves and white buttons. He also has a long scarf with film tape motifs that he uses as one of his weapons in battles.

Personality[]

Kanaguri, a passionate filmmaker, is known for his unwavering dedication to his craft. However, his emotional state is highly unstable, as he experiences extreme mood swings when faced with adversity. Upon the malfunction of his camera, resulting in the loss of all recorded footage, he oscillates between fits of manic rage and deep depression. Furthermore, he expresses violent intentions towards individuals who hold disdain for movies. However, despite these intense emotional reactions, Kanaguri demonstrates resilience by swiftly regaining composure and viewing the setback as an opportunity for personal growth. Whether it is causing harm or not, Kanaguri does not care as long as his footage are not interrupted and are perfectly recorded according to his desires. He did not hesitate to swiftly behead a teacher just because the latter walked to him to check on the camera he was holding, which interrupted his "scenarios" for his films

He is a man with a penchant for the art of filmmaking and is perpetually on the lookout for fresh opportunities to capture captivating footage. His attention duration can be small, as he will shift his focus to the most thrilling aspect of his current project when he deems it too dull. For Kanaguri, filmmaking is not just a passion, but a way of life; when he is not immersed in the creative process, he feels that life is not worth to be experienced. Furthermore, he would go as far as to capture amazing footage even amidst the descent from 20,000 feet of altitude in the sky or any situation of such risks.

Equipment[]

  • Clapperboards: Fitting his job as a film maker, Kanaguri incorporates two clapperboards that are capable of swiftly beheading several people in the blink of any eye.
