Kane Hamilton is the main antagonist in Season 5 and major in the 6 season of Snowfall.

He is played by DeVaughn Nixon.

Biography

Kane is a former convict turned gang leader whose life has been marked by tragedy, betrayal, and unrelenting vengeance. During the early seasons of the series, Kane was serving prison time, where he endured harsh conditions, including solitary confinement. While incarcerated, he learned that his cousin, Delroy, had been brutally stabbed and was denied the opportunity to attend the funeral. Shortly after, he received devastating news that his brother Kevin had been killed by Franklin Saint, igniting a simmering vendetta.

After his release, Kane focused on rebuilding his fractured family and reconnecting with his old crew. However, his grief and anger led him to plot revenge against Franklin and his associates. He orchestrated a series of coordinated drive-by shootings, refusing to hear Franklin and Leon's attempts at reasoning. Declaring himself on the warpath, Kane’s campaign of retaliation threatened to spiral out of control.

Eventually, Leon managed to convince Kane to broker peace, and Kane agreed to buy cocaine from Franklin’s crew, hoping to restore some stability to his family. However, Louie Saint, unwilling to forgive the violence, hired Beau Buckley, an LAPD C.R.A.S.H. detective, to kill Kane. Although the assassination attempt failed, it left Kane hospitalized. During his recovery, Franklin revealed Louie’s involvement in the attack, rekindling Kane’s thirst for revenge.

After his release from the hospital, Kane unleashed a relentless campaign against Louie and Jerome Saint, as well as Big Deon and his Crip set. The violence escalated further when his girlfriend’s house was attacked, forcing him and Franklin to narrowly escape with their lives. Kane retaliated by ordering the abduction of Louie, holding her at his compound where she was subjected to brutal intimidation, including being scouted by a pimp named Percy.

The conflict came to a bloody conclusion when the compound was raided. In a chaotic gunfight, Kane killed Jerome but was fatally wounded in turn. His death marked the end of his vengeful crusade but left behind a legacy of violence and loss that deeply impacted everyone involved.

Kane's story is one of pain, loyalty, and destruction, encapsulating the harsh realities of life in the unforgiving world of Los Angeles crime.
