Kang Taeshik (강태식) is a major antagonist from the popular web novel turned webtoon Solo Leveling serving as the main antagonist in Dungeon and Prisoners Arc. He was a B-Rank Assassin class Hunter that worked as an inspector for the Korean Hunters Association's Surveillance Team and moonlighted as a professional hitman to quench his thirst for blood while also lining his pockets.

He is voiced by Koki Uchiyama in Japanese and by Alan Lee in English.

Appearance

Kang Tae-Shik was a lanky looking man that appeared to be in his mid to late 20s. He has spiky purple hair with matching purple eyes with a sadistic look to them. As an employee of the Korean Hunters Association, he wore a formal business attire that consists of a black suit and tie with a belt where he held his daggers and knives.

Personality

Kang Tae-Shik is a deranged and psychopathic man who lived to kill as he found murdering other humans to be more fun than killing dungeon monsters. Ironically, despite the fact that he himself was a hitman, he looked down on other criminals and used them as outlets for his psychotic's tendencies. He is also very prideful in his status as a high-level hunter and had the ideology of a supremacist, believing that hunters were not obligated to follow human laws due to being superior to normal humans altogether. However, in spite of his ego he was a fair warrior and respected the natural order of things which he demonstrated by accepting his loss after Sung Jinwoo defeated him.
