Kara Cooper was a supporting antagonist in Season 5 of the CW show The 100.
She was portrayed by Kyra Zagorsky.
Description[]
Kara was part of the Sky People and lost her father during the Culling on the Ark. She is very angry with Jaha and Kane for this and is even willing to kill them in the bunker. Additionally, she had little faith in the Grounders in this bunker and staged an uprising while attempting to keep the hydroponic farms for Skaikru, but it was unsuccessful. But, over the years, she was able to trust the other nations who all became Wonkru and became a member of Blodreina's bodyguard, while also having an evil influence on her.
Biography[]
Season 5[]
She first appears in a flashback where she informs Octavia that overpopulation will prevent her from living for more than five years, worrying her greatly, causing her to leave the room. She secretly organizes an uprising against Octavia by blocking hydro farms, and leaving other nations to starve. She also imprisons Kane and Abby. The conspiracy is short-lived when Octavia, who has rallied Azgeda, manages to open the door. Kara flees and tries to commit suicide, but Octavia stops it by sticking a knife in her hand, causing her to drop the weapon. After which, Octavia takes matters into her own hands and sends the Plotters into the Gladiator Ring to fight each other until only one survives. The first fight hints that Kara managed to win.
Six years later, she became a warrior alongside Octavia, renamed Blodreina. She is present when Clarke, Bellamy, Diyoza and McCreary discover the bunker and inform them of the lack of food. She then goes on the trip to Shallow Valley and is suspicious of Clarke and Bellamy.
In the next episode, Kara is ordered to send a troop that will kill any deserters who go to the Eligius IV ship. Next, in the bunker, Kara is spotted by Clarke and Monty taking a body hidden in a biolab. The two discover that she is in fact breeding a parasitic desert worm that has attacked Octavia and a Wonkru warrior. Kara actually intends to use it as a weapon against Diyoza and his men although it could be dangerous for Wonkru as well. Monty and Clarke then run to alert Indra who is equally shocked and who kills the defector from the experiment. Octavia however admits that it was her idea and is confronted by Clarke, Indra and Bellamy over this strategy.
These three hatch a plan to get rid of Kara by killing her with the worms. On the farm, she chats with Monty and falls asleep with a sedative before being taken to the biolab. When she wakes up, she is wearing a jumpsuit and Clarke and the others have dropped the worms on her. The parasites then roam her entire body, and Kara says they'll pay it off before the worms explode her belly, killing her.
She appears in a flashback where she is disgusted at having to resort to cannibalism to survive in the bunker.
