Karen Street is the main antagonist of the crime action drama series S.W.A.T..
She is Jim Street's mother, who manipulates her son into doing things that benefit her. Whenever someone risks breaking that control Karen has over her son, she lies to her son to make herself seem like the victim, and that outside party seem untrustworthy.
Karen was in an abusive relationship with Eddie Street, so she convinced her son, Jim Street, to insult Eddie so that the father would try and hurt Jim. When that happened, Karen shot and killed Eddie. She tried to get Jim to lie to the police about what had happened to avoid jail time, but Jim broke under the pressure and said what really happened. For this, she was arrested, and Jim was taken in by Buck.

Many years later, Karen is often visited by her son in jail. Karen manipulates Jim into confronting someone on the outside of prison, a man who she said was also an abusive man. However, it is revealed that the man was actually a drug dealer for Karen, so she simply wanted to use Jim's police influence to threaten the man for stopping supplying Karen.
Hondo eventually realizes what Karen did, and goes to confront her, warning her to stop lying to Jim. She instead chooses to lie again to Jim, trying to make it sound like Hondo threatened her.
