Kyle and Ken Katayanagi (also known as the The Katayanagi Twins) are supporting characters in the Scott Pilgrim franchise. They are identical twin brothers of Japanese descent who were both Ramona Flowers's fifth (Kyle) and sixth (Ken) ex-boyfriends, They are also members of the League of Evil Exes.
They were both voiced by Julian Cihi who also voices their future counterparts.
Biography[]
Both Katayanagi Twins appear as supporting antagonists of the anime series Scott Pilgrim Takes off: Where their future counterparts help Older Scott travel back in time twenty-years with their Robot-01 and kidnap past Scott and framing his death, They were founded by Scott following their defeat and formed an electronic band in Wallace's garage. Their past selves were invited by Matthew Patel over the new rulings of The Evil League but were frustrated after the latter punched their robot for refusing Plus ones in their group. after Gideon's exile, They eventually accept their new leader among the other league without a word, They later became suspects over Scott's death, which happens that their Robot-01 played an important role in Scott's disappearance, Their future selves Helped Older Scott with his plan of breaking up his past self with Ramona, Deliberately responsible for sending their Robot back in time to kidnap Scott during his first fight with Matthew Patel, while secretly following Ramona and developing the A-K Nano-machines to keep Scott and Ramona from sharing a kiss, until the final battle when Super Ramona undid the barriers. The Katayanagi Twins mentioned by Ramona after Todd revealed them, showing a bit more detail as they were both once Teaching assistants from Roxanne's Robotics Class as each began dating Roxanne with great interest outside of class unknowingly behind each others backs, until Ken found out about Kyle's relationship while he walked with Roxanne, this incident resulted in the Katayanagi Twins begin a heated Exchange, leaving Roxanne to leave them both along with her following boyfriend Gideon. The Katayanagi Twins participate in the final battle against Even Older Scott where Kyle catches Knives from falling, they both gestured their Robot to release both rocketed hands to attack the charged Scott, but the action did little harm, as they witness Older Scott ruptures the ground, The Katayanagi Twins along with everyone were quickly transported back to the Theatre by Super Ramona. The Twins were last seen at Second Cup waiting for their order after the League's disbandment.
