Katella the Intergalactic Space Huntress, better known as Katella, is the main antagonist of the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog episode Zoobotnik.
She was voiced by Kathleen Barr who also voiced Momma Robotnik.
Character Description[]
She was a bounty hunter who goes to planets to capture species. She only appeared in the episode "Zoobotnik." One of the first things that she does is kidnapping the Mobian citizens (Tails included). Also in the episode, she falls madly in love with Dr. Robotnik, and agrees to help him capture his arch nemesis Sonic just as long as he marries her. They use a fake Tails doll as bait. Since Sonic knew that there was no chili dog breath on the doll, and he never talked when water was in his mouth, he plays around and pretends to be captured.
After he'd been captured, Katella wanted to marry Robotnik (much to his displeasure) and Sonic poses as the parson and instantly weds them. However, he had earlier called Mama Robotnik about the wedding, and she starts to fight her. After this, she calls the marriage off and leaves Mobius while chasing after a moustached planet.
Biography[]
She first came to Mobius to kidnap rare animals and sell them to zoos and Dr. Robotnik decided to cash in on it. When she saw Robotnik, she fell in love right away. Robotnik asked her to catch Sonic for him. After Sonic allowed her to do so, she forced Robotnik to marry her, but the ceremony was interrupted by the very irate Momma Robotnik. After a fight between the two evil women, Katella decided that she no longer wanted to marry Robotnik because she could not stand his mother, much to Robotnik's relief. She then left Mobius with the intent to find a planet that "really appreciates her".
Personality[]
Katella has a very vicious, egomaniacal, proud, fiery-tempered and commanding personality; as she is seen kidnapping animals and wanting to go to a world that appreciates her. She even carries a record player for her theme music to embrace how entitled she is, and considers herself to be the most clever huntress in the galaxy.
She is also a shamelessly seductive, brazen and flirtatious character, who oozes sexuality from every pore. One who happens to be very love-struck, lustful, and obsessed about Robotnik himself in particular (even when Robotnik doesn't feel the same way about her). In fact, she gets smitten by Robotnik not just for his looks, but for the fact she found someone who is as evil and sadistic as she is.
The minute she sees Robotnik, she can't restrain herself from manhandling him. Her entire role in "Zoobotnik" at one point, consists her manhandling Robotnik in ways that is blatantly sexual assault, including at one point jumping up and down on him in a way similar to dry humping. However, while she's not called on it, it's very clear that it is wrong and Robotnik shown to fear her insanely aggressive behavior as his "lover"; which is why Sonic arranged a fake wedding so Momma Robotnik can trash her relationship with Robotnik.
She makes frequent winks towards the audience. Especially when she revels in her ambitions succeeding like getting a wedding with Robotnik or caging animals.
However, she is a subdued version of the "Yandere" for Robotnik. Even though she outright claims to not handle taking no for an answer and completely adored Dr. Robotnik to the point of acting like a aggressive girlfriend to him non-stop, her genuine hatred for Momma Robotnik, is what made her call the marriage off (as well as her romantic relationship with Robotnik) because she refuses to have Mama Robotnik for a mother-in-law, prior to her brash attitude, belligerence and callous behavior.
Appearance[]
Katella is a realistic-looking, well-endowed, slim, curvy human with fair skin, has long orange-reddish hair and a yellow headband with a flaming red diamond on her forehead. She sports on a yellow costume with shoulder pads, some black spots on the bottom of the costume, and wears light-blue leggings with heels that match the same color.

Trivia[]
- Katella is the most realistic-drawn character in the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog television series, where the majority of the characters are much more cartoonish in comparison. It is not confirmed if she is human, but she is the most humanlike character than any other human in the show.
- Katella is also one of the most good-looking characters in the cartoon, where Robotnik is more of a pointy-headed blob with a ridiculously long mustache. And despite this, she is infatuated by him, though it's less because of how he looks and more because of finding someone who is just as evil as she is.
- Its unknown what planet Katella comes from.
- Katella seems to have an interest in classical music due to the fact that she has her record player play it whenever she catches something.
