Good evening, everyone. Three years ago, Julian Slowik tried to f--k me. I refused his advances. A week later, he tried again. And again, I refused. But he didn't fire me. No. He kept me in his kitchen, and refused to look me in the eye or speak directly to me for eight months. He can do that. Because he's the star. He's the man. Our next course is called Man's Folly.

~ Katherine's most famous line

Katherine Keller is the overarching antagonist in the 2022 thriller/horror film The Menu. She is a sous chef at Chef Julian Slowik's restaurant and the one who came up with the idea for the "death" in the "menu."

She was portrayed by Christina Brucato.

Biography[]

Prior[]

According to her, Katherine was a sous-chef at the exclusive restaurant Hawthorne who was sexually harassed multiple times by the world famous head chef, Julian Slowik. However, every time she rebuffed his advances, he would make her job worse by introducing her to harsher conditions. At some point, when Slowik came up with the idea for his "menu", Katherine would come up with idea for the "death" within it.

The Menu[]

While introducing the course wherein the male guests are forced to run or be hunted down by the other chefs, Katherine jabs Julian in the leg before joining the other women to drink. Lilian, one of the guests, attempts to reason with her by appealing to her claims of being sexually harassed. Despite her belief that she was a powerless victim in Chef Julian's murderous scheme, Katherine happily reveals that everyone dying for the menu was in fact her idea. Lilian can only continue drinking out of a disbelief at how callous she was being.

At the end of the night, Margot manages to move Julian by requesting him to make her a simple cheeseburger and fries. Upon asking for the meal to go, Julian permits it allowing her to be the sole survivor of the massacre. Katherine herself is last seen manipulating the ovens to allow the gaseous fumes to fill up the kitchen as Julian sets himself and the restaurant ablaze.
