Kazuki Soma is the secondary antagonist of the 2021 thriller drama video game, Lost Judgment.
He is the leader of RK and an undercover agent for the Public Security Division. He is the arch-nemesis of both Takayuki Yagami and Jin Kuwana, due to murdering Yoko Sawa.
In Japanese, he is voiced by Hiroshi Tamaki. In English, he was voiced by Matthew Yang King.
Personality[]
Despite his slender looks and allergies, Kazuki Soma is a highly dangerous, sadistic, and cold killer. Soma is calm and collected, and always acts in a professional manner He is shown to be very intelligent and cunning, as he approaches situations in the most ideal way possible and can easily determine a person's thoughts by simply looking at them.
Underneath this persona, he is not afraid to showcase his love for doing the jobs given to him by Public Security. He admits that he finds great pleasure in each murder he is responsible for, and he even has designated weapons for killing, with knives for men and ice picks for women. He is fine with eliminating anybody who stands in his way, whether it be innocents or other RK members. Despite his actions, Soma believes his actions are justified, as they are necessary for keeping up order in Japan.
Biography[]
Soma was trained as a spy in the Public Security Division and later joined the Nikkyo Consortium, a Tojo Clan subsidiary, as an undercover agent. Soma got the attention of higher-ranking Consortium members with his good work, which net him higher ranks in the clan, essentially completing his mission. Soma continued to be an informant for the Public Security, until he was alerted that the Tojo Clan was going to be disbanded. Soma then quickly left the Consortium, leaving himself with nothing, and presumably went back to Public Security to continue doing work for them. Sometime in 2019, Soma created the gang RK with monetary backing from Public Security. He had gained a reputation among yakuza for leaving the Consortium before the Tojo Clan was disbanded as if he was a psychic, and decided to utilize this to employ the now ex-yakuza into RK as a way to keep track of the criminal activity in Kamurocho. Soma invited an ex-yakuza friend Daimu Akutsu to join RK as an officer and serve as the public representation of the gang, which he accepted.
Bando later gave Soma a job, which was to search for a man named Shinya Kawai. He found out that he had been missing for over 5 years and was presumed to be deceased. Soma then set his sights on a teacher named Yu Kitakata, who was hiding under the alias of a handyman named Jin Kuwana in Isezaki Ijincho, as Kawai was a former student in his class. To bait Kuwana, Soma had a former student of his, Yoko Sawa, call him to her apartment. He waits for Kuwana to show up, but Takayuki Yagami also arrives to Sawa's apartment, and he then orders RK to attack both of them. After Kuwana flees the ambush and Yagami battles his way through the RK members, he busts down the door to Sawa's apartment and streams a video to Yagami of him holding her hostage with an ice pick to her neck. Shortly after Yagami is ambushed and knocked out, Soma stabs Sawa in the neck with the ice pick, because she close to finding out the truth behind him. Afterwards, Soma arrived to an undisclosed warehouse where Yagami was being held captive by Akutsu, and tortures him in an attempt to get him to give information they need to find Kawai. After learning that Yagami knows nothing more than they do, he orders Akutsu to kill him.
Because of Kuwana now being on the run, Soma targets an acquaintance of his, the owner of a bar named Siren, but he is unable to find him. He waits at the bar, which had also gained the attention of Yagami and Masaharu Kaito, and used a phone call to distract the former whilst he attacked Kaito and wounded him by stabbing him in the abdomen. Yagami then initiates a battle with Soma, which ended in Yagami getting kicked in the head by Soma. Just as he was about to kill Yagami, Soma left the bar after receiving a call from the bar owner saying that the police were called to the scene.
Later on, Soma orders RK to execute Akutsu after he heard him being told by Yagami about Soma's real identity. Later, he is informed by Bando about Kuwana's associations with his former classmates. Soma secretly follows a former student of Kuwana's, which leads him to a boat holding Kuwana and Yagami. Soma kills the former student, and orders the RK members present to take care of Yagami and Kuwana. Kuwana had a bomb placed on the boat, however, and detonated it to escape the conflict. Soma and the remaining RK members left the scene before the public and police swarmed the area.
Under the order of Soma, a group of RK members kidnap two Seiryu High School students in order to lure out Yagami and his friends to rescue them. As planned, they show up, and a fight breaks out. At the time, Kuwana negotiated with Soma with giving out the location of Kawai's dead body in exchange for letting Yagami and his friends walk away alive. Soma then arrives at the building RK had lured Yagami to. Yagami tries to charge Soma for another battle, but he pulls out a paintgun and pretends to fatally shoot one of the kidnapped students to cause a distraction so he could leave.
Kuwana purposefully lets RK and Public Security track a call of his where he reveals the exact location of the warehouse where Kawai's body was located. Soma orders all of the remaining RK members to show up at the warehouse, and at the farthest location of the underground area, they found a freezer where Kawai's body was located. However, Yagami shows up after defeating countless amounts of RK members throughout the warehouse, and a large fight ensues between all parties. Soma later retreats into a cold storage area to lure Yagami for their final fight, in which Yagami wins and defeats Soma. Soma was then choked out and tied up, and after the cops arrive at the warehouse, was taken into custody alongside Bando.
