Keeng Ra'at, also known as the Rat God, is a minor antagonist in Fallout 2. He was an intelligent albino mole rat and leader of a pack of rats terrorising Klamath's Trapper Town. He is fought during the side quest Kill the rat god.
Biography[]
Keeng Ra'at was an albino mole rat with an enlarged crainium, it's unknown how he gained his intelligence with possibilities including the Forced Evolutionary Virus or just simple radiation, along with his brother, Brain. At an unknown point, Keeng Ra'at contracted rabies and was driven mad, leading him to separating from his brother and heading west.
Keeng Ra'at would take up in the caves below the town of Klamath and begin to grow a following of other rats, he would use his enhanced intelligence to command the rats into attacking the west side of Klamath known as Trapper Town. Despite the best efforts of the local Trappers, the rat hordes eventually overwhelmed them, leading to them losing control of most of the district. The rats would kill many trappers afterwards, dragging them down to Keeng Ra'at chamber for him to feast on, leaving piles of bones.
Eventually, the rat hordes would be stopped by the Chosen One, and Keeng Ra'at would be slain, with the Trappers retaking their home. His brother Brain would sense his death and mourn him, hoping that he finds peace in death.
