Barrier Ninja Kekkaibo is a mantis-themed ninja serving as a member of Jakanja's Alien Ninja Corps led by Chuuzubo and an antagonist in episode 1 of Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger.
He is voiced by Kan Tanaka.
Biography[]
When the forces of Jakanja arrived at Earth on Parasite Fortress Centipede, Tau Zant directed his followers to eliminate the Ninja Academies before moving forward with their plans to invoke "It". Chuuzubo dispatched Kekkaibo to lead an attack on the Hayate's Way Ninja Academy. Kekkaibo was able to break through the invisible barrier shielding the Hayate's Way Ninja Academy using his "Barrier Breaking" Space Ninpou. He then led a group of Magerappa in an assault on the Hayate's Way graduation ceremony and used his talismens to wipe out all of their students, leaving only Yousuke, Nanami and Kouta as the only survivors. The three were later bestowed the power to become the Hurricanegers and went to face Kekkaibo. Kekkaibo attempted to gain the upper hand over them by pulling them into his illusionary world, but the Hurricanegers managed to evade Kekkaibo's moves and were able to destroy him with a blast from the Triple Gadget.
He was later revived during the events of Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger: Shushuuto the Movie.
