Kendrick "Ken" Noodle is the main antagonist of the 1988 science-fiction musical comedy film The Purple People Eater.
He is an evil and corrupt landlord of a neighbourhood who seeks to be enriched by the citizens, and unlawfully charges them for anything they could potentially spend money on. He is the arch-nemesis of Billy Johnson and the Purple People Eater.
He was played by John Brumfield.
Biography[]
He is first seen having a conversation with Billy Johnson's grandfather about rent and charges. Grandpa tells him that he does not eat breakfast to escape charges.
Noodle continually overcharges Grandpa Johnson's friend Rita, causing her to experience an eating disorder and faint. She ends up in hospital with a critical condition, slowly recovering.
When Noodle finds out about Billy's new rock-n-roll band, "The Purple People Eaters", he becomes fed up with overhearing about their popularity. When he hears about their new concert campaign, "Save Our Seniors", he realises it has to do with his charges and sees it as a threat to his plans for wealth. He breaks into the Johnsons' house, kidnaps the Purple People Eater and holds him hostage in his house, having him tied up on a pool table. Purple escapes him, and uses the Johnsons' car to get back to the concert before it can be cancelled. Noodle attempts to chase after him using his own car, but loses the chase as his car breaks down inside of a car wash (after Purple used his horn to damage one of the wheels).
It is unknown what happened next, but one can assume that if he ever got out of the car wash, he was either fired or imprisoned for his crimes.
