Like Kiburi, he is ruthless as he viciously attacked zebras and gazelles and then bit Fuli, Kion and Beshte even though they confronted him. He is shown to be cunning, namely when he attacks the Pridelanders just to lure the Lion Guard so he can bite them.
Biography[]
Kenge first appears in "Kenge's Bite" when Ushari sings about him. It is described as a huge, angry and poisonous lizard. The hyenas Cheezi, Chungu, Janja, on the advice of Ushari, take Kenge with them to get rid of the Guardians. Monitor lizard causes a mayhem at a watering hole and almost bites the animals around, and when the Guardians arrive, he easily immobilizes almost everyone with bites, but with the appearance of Bunga and his "smell of victory", Kenge retreats. He later plans to go with the hyenas to steal watermelons from the elephants, as Scar's ghost said that in this way the elephants might die of thirst, and with them the whole Circle of Life. At a small request from Janja to help with watermelons, the lizard frightened the hyenas and declared that Janja was not the main one for him, and Kenge was not going to follow his commands. On the way back, the gang runs into Bunga and Ono, and the monitor lizard orders the hyenas to steal all the watermelons while he deals with the rest of the Lion Guard. After Ono and Bunga manage to take some watermelons, Kenge bites Ono and Bunga. After receiving praise from Janja, the monitor lizard, along with the hyenas, collect all the watermelons back and go to Outland. Bunga and Makini catch up with the gang at Outland, the honey badger distracts all the villains while Makini steals the watermelons. Bunga tricks Kenge by calling him a "Little Lizard" and he starts trying to eat him, accidentally biting the hyenas along the way. After Makini stopped Kenge from eating Bunga by impersonating, In "Scorpion's Sting", Kenge appears at the end and attempts to attack the Lion Guard , but Kion uses the Roar of the Elders to send him and Shupavu's allies flying away, as after the battle ended, Kenge leaves Scar's lair.
It is unknown what happened to Kenge, the skinks and Sumu, after Jasiri takes control of the Outlands.
Trivia[]
