Kenji is the main antagonist of the 2007 action comedy film Rush Hour 3. He is the leader of the Triads who happens to be the adoptive brother of Chief Inspector Lee.
He was portrayed by Hiroyuki Sanada.
Biography
Kenji's family was killed when he was a child, and he was sent to an orphanage where he met Lee. The two were very close and became "brothers", but Lee was eventually adopted and Kenji ended up on the streets. As adults, Lee became a Chief Inspector while Kenji became a member of the Triads.
Lee found Kenji once again and attempted to capture him, but Kenji managed to escape. He soon kidnaps Soo Yung off camera and orders a trade for her life with Varden Reynard aiding him. In exchange for Geneviève/Shy Shen who holds a list of triad names on the back of her head. During the climax, the pair engaged in a brutal sword-fight inside the Eiffel Tower which lead to them dangling precariously a long way above the ground. Lee tried to help Kenji to safety, but Kenji, knowing that his weight would cause Lee to die with him, sacrificed himself by committing suicide and let go in order to save Lee's life. A distraught Lee then watched as Kenji plunged to his death redeeming himself.

- Kenji is somewhat similar to Storm Shadow, who adopted a brother to Snake Eyes and was also an enemy to him. He also dresses in white, even when fighting.
- Kenji is the first and only Rush Hour villain who had a redeemable quality.
- Like Ricky Tan from the second film, Kenji is a personal villain from Lee's past, seeing as how they grew up as "brothers".
