Kenzo Suga is a researcher of Granutes and one of two secondary antagonists (alongside Nyelv Stomach) of Kamen Rider Gavv.
Initially appearing as an ally/benefactor for Hanto Karakida, he would eventually reveal his true nature and confirm that he was indeed responsible for the death of Soji Shioya in an attempt to bait Hanto into becoming his "test subject" and luring him into becoming a Kamen Rider. Because of this, he is the one responsible for creating the Valen System and subsequently turning the Journalist into Kamen Rider Valen.
Upon meeting Shoma and taking part of his DNA, he would later create Kamen Rider Bitter Gavv and be the one most responsible for the events of the series in it’s second quarter, serving as it's primary antagonist. Using Bakemagnum, Kenzo suga can transforms into Kamen Rider Bake. Due to his actions of killing Hanto's mentor and putting him through all sorts of experiments, he can be considered as the Archenemy of Hanto Karakida.
He is portrayed by Shintaro Asanuma, who previously voiced Juran/Zenkai Juran in Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger, Zanza from Xenoblade Chronicles & Zeo from One Piece.
History[]
Meets Hanto and give him Valenbuster[]
Hanto Karakida and Kenzo Suga first met while Hanto was looking into Kamen Rider Gavv's identity. A Granute researcher named Kenzo went up to Gavv and inquired as to whether he was a Granute as well. Hanto, who was irritated by the interruption, accepted his introduction. Hanto later went to Kenzo's lab, where he told Hanto what he knew about Granute and the extent of his research.
Hanto was upset and held himself responsible for the death of Soji Shioya, his father figure and mentor, who was assassinated by Otake on Nyelv's orders. He decided he could no longer let the Granute destroy his loved ones, so he went towards Kenzo Suga with all his might for vengeance.
Hanto then asked Kenzo suga to have the Valenbuster modified so he could use it, and Kenzo suga agreed. Granute's organs were transplanted into Hanto's body during the procedure, enabling him to transform into Kamen Rider Valen by using the Valenbuster as a transition tool. Suga created the Valenbuster as a weapon to combat Granute's. With the Chocodon Gochizo acting as the primary Gochizo utilized for transformation, the design was modeled after the Chocodan Gochizo that Kenzo suga sacrificed to make the Valenbuster. Hanto needs to have Granute's organs transplanted in order to have Granute's strength in order for the Valenbuster to be utilized as a transformation tool.
Make a Dark Shoma[]
Kenzo Suga used samples of Shoma's blood and hair to produce many clones of him. These clones can change into Kamen Rider Bitter Gavv and are referred to as Dark Shoma. Each clone has a unique personality and a propensity for destruction, despite being physically similar to the original Shoma. Suga gives them the mission of gaining more and more strength in order to become what they call the "ultimate living being."
Transforms into Kamen Rider Bake[]
Kenzo developed the Bakemagnum as the culmination of his studies into these creatures. This device is an enhanced version of the Valenbuster and was initially intended to empower Hanto Karakida, aiming to make him stronger than Shoma.
Death of Kenzo Suga[]
But in the end, Valen's improved form, Valen Frappe Custom, defeats Suga. Suga gives Nyelv Stomach the task of carrying on his work before he passes away from his wounds, exposing his true identity as the mastermind behind a number of terrible occurrences, including the passing of Hanto's instructor Soji Shioya.
