Keyla

Keyla is the main antagonist of the Enterprise episode "Two Days and Two Nights".

She was portrayed by Dey Young.

Biography[]

Keyla was a tourist on Risa, who was staying in a villa near to Captain Archer. The fact they had both brought dogs with them got them talking. Keyla recommended a venue for Archer to have dinner but declined to join him, saying she had something to do and suggesting another night. Later, Archer pointed out his home star to Keyla but she declined to do the same, saying she had a poor sense of direction.

They met for breakfast the next day, with Keyla continuing to ask Archer about himself without giving any information in return. When Archer finally confronted her about it, she told him that her family had been killed by the Suliban, who Archer had had dealings with in the past. After they had been for a walk on the beach, Keyla turned the conversation back round to the Suliban, saying she had heard they were working for someone from the future who had genetically engineered them and asking if he knew anything about their base, emphasising the threat they posed.

His suspicions aroused, Archer did a bioscan of Keyla and learned she was a Tandaran, surgically altered to appear like another species. Archer was aware that the Tandarans were at war with the Suliban Cabal and had previously discovered them imprisoning neutral Suliban civilians in detention centres, as well as being captured and interrogated by them with much the same questions Keyla had asked. He demanded to know who she was working for but Keyla scratched his arm, drugging him, noting she couldn't let him interfere and would be checking out now. When Archer came round, there was no sign of her.
