~ Kezess to Arthur

Kezess Indrath is one of the two overarching antagonists (Alongside Draneeve) in the light novel and manwha series, The Beginning After the End. He is the leader of the Indrath Clan and the current absolute sovereign of Epotheus. He is the father of Sylvia and grandfather of Sylvie and is well responsible for sending Windsom and Aldir to help aid Dicathens guide to victory in the war against Alacrya with the help of training Arthur Leywin.

However it is revealed by Sylvia that he is mainly responsible for the tragedies of Dijinn Genocide due to their refusal on giving insight of Aether. He also ordered an Asuran Squad led by Aldir to assassinate Agrona but ultimately failed that forced him to cut ties with Dicathen with the aggravated treeaty from Agrona.

He later send Taci to purge and destroy the Dicathen resistance and purge the entire Eleanior due to their refusal for using Indrath's artifacts which in result failed due to Arthur killing Taci in the process.

Appearance[]

Kezess is a humanioid dragon with the a neither long or short cream colored hair with a calm almost paced demeanor. When Arthur first met him in Epotheus, he stated that he is exceptionally dazzling and likewise attractive. His appearance, more likely the eyes were were almost similar to Sylvia but changes depending on his mood.

Personality[]

He is described to be benevolent leader who demands nothing but with utmost respect as a leader and a Dragonic race of Asura. He utmostly respects his family, more likely both Sylvia and Sylvie and enraged when he learned his daughter's death and almost wage war against Agrona.

However he is actually a corrupted, hypocritical and tyrannical especially power hungry as he considers to rebuild life from the lessers when he ordered Aldir to desroy the Elven Kingdom which is failed in the process. He was solely was once more responsible from driving Agrona to madness after his exile and indirectly killed his daughter in the process. Due to his short sightedness, he is directly causing suffering for both Dicathen and Alacrya as they are the victims of Agrona's experiments and is also the reason he dragged Dicathen into war especially breaking treaty with Agrona due to his attempted assassination.

Background[]

In the war between the ausras, Kezess was mainly responsible to united the people under his leadership resulting to create the The Great Eight along with his clan as absolute rulers. His race were highly respected and feared for their immense power and knowledge of aether. His emmisarries have discovered a civilization of mages who they were called as Djinn who have the capabilities to harness the power of Aether and Kezess himself witnessed the superior understanding and control of using aether arts and insisted to learn it from the Djinn but he was denied from their pacificism which led him to commit a mass genocide against the pacficist race. However his former friend, Mordian opposed him and saved the remaining Djinss causing him to be exiled and also exiled Agrona, Sylvia's fiance, and his Vitra Clanwho discovered his darkest secret, threatened to expose the tyrant himself.

His reason to exterminate Djinns even his predecessors before him, it is in order for them to keep the natural balance in order in the world and has to keep it alive by preventing ancient civilizations to rise.
