Jonathan Bates was one of Miracleman's sidekicks, along with Young Miracleman, who would transform into Kid Miracleman when he spoke Miracleman's name. After the Miracleman Family was nuked, Young Miracleman died and Miracleman lost both his powers and memories, remaining Micky Moran for decades. With no one to boss around Kid Miracleman, he decided to never again become Johnny Bates, staying in his superhuman form for decades, growing totally corrupt and founding Sunburst Cybernetics.
Appearance[]
As an adult, he is an extremely tall, well-built man with black hair cut into a buzzcut. He normally wears a black business suit which he discards the blazer of, and later is burned off to reveal his costume, which has turned a charcoal black and his symbol in now a mixture of his "K" and "M" initials.

Powers and Abilities[]
By saying a post-hypnotic keyword, "Miracleman" in his case, Bates can switch places in time and space with a superpowered cellular replicate, Kid Miracleman. All of Kid Miracleman's powers stem from his mind, such as his psionically lifting objects when touching them, or having a thin psychic field around his body to protect his from harm. After staying in his superhuman form for nearly 2 decades, his powers have grown to unimaginable levels, easily able to best Miracleman twice, defeat the more skilled Miraclewoman, kill a Warpsmith, and completely decimate London. However, if something is teleported inside his body it will bypass his force field, able to harm and damage him.
