The Kidnapper, also known as Chase and Ethan, is the titular main antagonist of the Euphoria Games franchise Horror Tale.
He is a serial kidnapper who abducts children in the state of Illinois in 1999. It is possible that he is supernatural in nature as evident by him turning his victims into wooden dolls.
He is voice acted by Sami Chen.
Biography[]
His past is unknown. The only thing that is known about him is that he is a young man, estimated to be around 20 years old, who is dedicated to kidnapping children and then turning them into wooden dolls.
There's a connection between Steven Woodley and the Kidnapper. Appearance[]
The kidnapper is a tall man with a rabbit mask made of wood. He wears a red shirt, a gray jacket with a hood, boots and khaki pants accompanied by rags with a belt where he carries tools such as an axe.
Personality[]
The kidnapper is a rather narcissistic and proud person, believing himself to be smarter than his victims. It is implied that he has anger issues by his quick temper.
Horror Tale 1: Kidnapper[]
The kidnapper appears for the first time when the protagonist Tom Randy was riding his bicycle to his friend Harry's tree house, the kidnapper appeared in the bushes and knocked him out, locking him in a shed, but Tom escapes and informs Harry of the situation so devise a plan, however, the kidnapper manages to follow Tom, alerting Harry, but he comes up with a plan to make Tom bring him some objects to fortify the tree house and save himself from the kidnapper.
Later Tom obtains the objects during a long journey escaping from the kidnapper and fortifies the tree house to spend the night, however the kidnapper manages to enter and kidnap Harry, Tom wakes up and follows him to his lair where he enters a room and finds the kidnapper. holding Harry already converted into a wooden doll. Tom is horrified and the kidnapper notices his presence and captures him again.
Horror Tale 2: Samantha[]
The kidnapper knocks out Tom and locks him in an underground prison beneath his lair, Tom escapes from his cell and meets Samantha, a girl who confesses that the kidnapper had captured her and transformed her friends Bill and Emma into wooden dolls and she would be next.
At that Tom thinks of a plan but when he was about to leave the lair the kidnapper, who was digging a kind of tunnel, surprises him and throws his pickaxe at him, Tom dodges him and escapes and then thinks of a plan with Samantha that consists of get some sleeping pills to put the kidnapper to sleep and a gas cutter to free Samantha from her chains.
After getting the 2 objects and fleeing from the kidnapper who followed him wherever he goes, the kidnapper visits Samantha (who had freed herself from her chains) to give her one last meal before transforming her and scolds her for trying to escape once. and then taking off the mask, Tom distracts the kidnapper by making him chase him so that Samantha can put the plan into action by putting the sleeping pills in the food, however a cockroach knocks over the bottle of sleeping pills and When the kidnapper finds out, he knocks out Samantha and then chases Tom, who tries to flee but is caught again.
Tom wakes up in Samantha's cell with the kidnapper in front of him ready to chain him, however Samantha knocks him out with a blow to the head, escaping with Tom, after fleeing Samantha tells Tom that the kidnapper apparently has a deal with a witch and through a ritual transforms the children into wooden dolls and that perhaps if they reverse that ritual they can return the children to normal including Harry and Samantha's friends Bill and Emma.
Finally, Samantha reveals that the kidnapper once took her to a forest where the ritual was performed, showing a flashback of Samantha being escorted by the kidnapper to said place where a bonfire with strange symbols illuminated in purple is shown and there was also a mask on. made of wood similar to that of the kidnapper but shaped like a wolf.
