Kieran Frances Conrad is a major antagonist of Stingers. He served as a minor antagonist in season five, and as one of the two main antagonists (alongside Stig Enquist) in season six.

He is portrayed by Dion Mills.

Biography

Conrad first appears in the season five episode “Pale Horse”, where he is seen disguised as an orderly as he plans to assassinate Marty Engle. However, he is stopped by Peter Church and Oscar Stone, who ask for his identification. However, while showing Church his ID, he pulls a silenced pistol and tries to shoot him, but Stone pushes Church out of the way and is shot twice, Conrad then aims his gun towards Church, but Stone tries to fight him off, prompting Conrad to shoot him two more times before trying to escape, only to be stopped by Danni Mayo and Ellen MacKenzie who immediately arrest him. Stone later dies, and Conrad is charged for his murder.

In the opening episode of Season six, Conrad is facing trial for Stone’s murder. However, he manages to escape from police custody while at the courthouse and kills several officers in the process, but he is shot in the leg by Church, who along with Angie Piper, later begin their search to find Conrad to get revenge for Stone’s death.

Conrad resurfaces several episodes later, where it’s revealed that he fled to the Philippines and eventually lost his leg below the knee as a result of the gunshot wound from Church gave him during his escape, requiring him to use a prosthetic. He shows up to a hospital when he is recognized by Christina Dichiera, who tries to stop him, but he punches her out cold before escaping. He then tortures and murders dentist and drug dealer Lawrence Moody for giving Church and Angie information about him. Conrad is later confronted by Church, and after a brief fight, Church holds him at gunpoint. Conrad then reveals to him that he is after Stig Enquist for failing to pay him for the failed hit on Marty Engle that led to Stone’s murder. Church, in a state of rage, tries to shoot Conrad, but his gun jams, giving Conrad time to shoot Church three times before escaping. However, Church survives as he was wearing a bulletproof vest.

After Church and Luke Harris stage a fake assassination attempt on Enquist at the courthouse, Enquist decides to place a $200,000 bounty on Conrad’s head, believing him to be responsible for trying to kill him. In retaliation, Conrad decides to assassinate Enquist at his mansion, this is ultimately foiled by Church and Angie. However, Conrad kills several of Enquist’s guards and briefly holds Angie hostage before escaping from Enquist’s mansion. He later kidnaps his former lawyer Ingrid Burton, as she is also Enquist’s lawyer and friend, demanding a ransom of $1,000,000, plus the calling off of the bounty on his head, for her release. However, Enquist decides to abandon Ingrid when he discovers that Church, who was undercover working for Enquist, is a cop, and that Ingrid was in a relationship with him. Conrad later shows up at Enquist’s mansion while Enquist is preparing to assassinate Church, he kills Enquist’s enforcer Kurt Fowler and prepares to kill Enquist, but Church, who is bound in the back of Enquist's car stops him buy using the passenger door of Enquist’s car to strike the back of Conrad’s leg, forcing him to the ground. Enquist then shoots Conrad, despite Church’s pleas not to, mortally wounding him. Church, rescued by Angie, confronts Conrad one more time, demanding to know Ingrid’s whereabouts and if she is alive or not. However, Conrad refuses to speak, and soon dies. Luckily for Church and Angie, they manage to find and rescue Ingrid, foiling Conrad’s final scheme.
