Kikyo Zoldyck is a major antagonist in the manga/anime series Hunter x Hunter. She is the wife of Silva Zoldyck and the current matriarch of the Zoldyck family of assassins.
In Japanese, she was voiced by Rena Yukie in the 1999 anime and Junko Iwao in the 2011 anime. In English, she was voiced by Tracy Sutton in the 1999 anime and Michelle Ruff in the 2011 anime.
Biography[]
Kikyo was born in Meteor City, a dangerous location that has no official records. At some point she became an assassin, learned Nen, meeting Silva and marrying him, having 5 children.
Appearance[]
Kalluto is a tall woman with her face covered in bandages due to Killua's attack. She has an electronic visor covering her eyes and wears a dark purple bustle gown.
Personality[]
Kikyo is the matriarch of the Zoldyck family. Much like her husband, she has high hopes for her son, Killua to become the head of the Zoldyck family one day. Kikyo shows a sadomasochistic joyfulness to her own son if he shows cruelty even though it was directed to her. Because of this, she becomes a rather overprotective parent, fearing that other people may lead him to harm's way.
Abilities & Powers[]
Kikyo is an assassin of the Zoldyck Family, she once knock out Canary with a projectile. Her Nen type is Manipulation, similar to most of her children.
- Enhanced Strength: Kikyo is way stronger than average Nen users, she is able to open the Testing Gates with no problem.
- Enhanced Speed: Kikyo has a high level of speed, she was able to run through the Kukuroo Mountain at high speed, alongside Kalluto Zoldyck.
Trivia[]
- Kikyo's name was never directly mentioned in the manga or anime. Her name was only mentioned in the credits of the 2011 anime and the official databook.
