Killearn is the secondary antagonist of the 1995 historical period action drama film Rob Roy.
He was portrayed by Brian Cox, who also played Hannibal Lecktor in Manhunter, Hermann Goering in Nuremberg, Ward Abbott in the Jason Bourne film series, Dark Yabu in Vexx, William Stryker in X2: X-Men United, Lionel Starkweather in Manhunt, Agamemnon in Troy, Scolar Visari in Killzone, Pariah Dark in Danny Phantom, General Hemmer in Battle for Terra, Mr. Kreeg in Trick 'r Treat, Jack Denham in Syndicate, Conrad in Bob the Builder, Logan Roy in Succession, Kostas Becker in The Simpsons and Niander Wallace, Sr. in Blade Runner: Black Lotus.
Personality[]
Killearn initially appears to be charming if not a little extravagant, but in reality he is a sleazy con artist who conspires with Archibald Cunningham to steal the Marquis of Montrose's wealth. He is also a coward, as he pitifully attempts to convince Rob Roy not to kill him.
Biography[]
Nothing is really know about Killearn other than that he is a right-hand for Archibald Cunningham. Rob Roy comes to borrow a loan of 1,000 guineas from the Marquis of Montrose, however he and Cunningham have their own plans, as they conspire to steal his wealth all for themselves, with Cunningham personally murdering Rob Roy's friends who was supposed to deliver the money to Rob Roy, and he takes the money for himself and disposes of the body in a river. Cunningham then goes to where Rob Roy lives, and personally shoots their dog, and has his men slaughter the rest of their cattle, then proceeding to Rape Rob Roy' wife Mary, while Killearn watches, they burn their house down and leave, while Cunningham, Killearn and their men taunt Mary and their friend who Mary makes swear not to tell Rob Roy about the incident. Rob Roy later tracks down Killearn at a pub where he appears to be gambling, Rob Roy then captures Killearn, Mary then stabs Killearn in the neck, and he is later drowned to death, killing him.
