Drury Walker, better known as Killer Moth, is a minor antagonist in the Batman: Arkham franchise.
Biography[]
Batgirl Begins[]
Drury, before the defeat of Black Mask was a small-time criminal in Gotham City, doing acts such as petty theft and extortion but that would change soon after the arrival of Batman, who would defeat Black Mask. Because of this he would be known in the underworld as a paranormal entity that only attacks criminals, Drury in disbelief at the situation decided to discreetly monitor his allies, who had several books about moths that Drury would soon read and form his alter ego. He, together with some henchmen that he recruited throughout that time, distracted Batman to kidnap Commissioner James Gordon, all to show that he was just a simple man with gadgets. Barbara, seeing the situation, made an improvised suit and tried to save her father, but Drury, as an escape method, threw Gordon out of the building. At that moment, Barbara had no choice but to go save her father, allowing Killer Moth to flee.
Batman: Assault on Arkham[]
At some point, Killer Moth was caught and taken to Arkham Asylum, where his possessions were taken to the intensive treatment warehouse, which King Shark would end up finding.
Batman: Arkham Asylum[]
At Arkham Asylum, Walker underwent treatments in the asylum proposed by Dr. Young and Dr. Warren, but at that time, the Joker would take over the asylum, for which he was one of the inmates who escaped from it. While escaping, however, he was attacked by several guards, which he killed.
Batman: Arkham Knight[]
In that period of time, Killer Moth would not commit more criminal acts until Halloween, where the Scarecrow would take over Gotham City through his fear gas, being one of the criminals who would cause chaos in the city. However, his luck ran out when he bumped into the Red Hood, who ended his life.
Legacy[]
At some point in the five years following Arkham Knight, someone else assumes the mantle of Killer Moth. During Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, in the event that any Suicide Squad member is killed, Amanda Waller demands for someone to find her Killer Moth during the game over.
Trivia[]
- Despite being mentioned as dead in Arkham Knight's Red Hood DLC Pack, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League refers to Killer Moth as alive. It's unclear if this is a retcon and Drury Walker is alive (due to the game already playing fast and loose with previously established lore) or if someone else took on the identity of Killer Moth.
