Kim Jong-Un is the main antagonist of the first-person shooter videogame franchise Homefront. Kim is the third and youngest son of the late Kim Jong-il (the previous leader of North Korea) and leader of the Greater Korean Republic. He came to power in 2012 after his father's demise and reunited the two Koreas to create the GKR.

He does not appear in Homefront: The Revolution, which might imply that Kim went into complete hiding.

History

Kim inherited his power in 2012 after the elder Kim's death in 2012. He surprised the international community by announcing his plan to reunite the two Koreas. In the stages of his plan, he would dismantle the DMZ and create the Greater Korean Republic and be rewarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2013.

In reality, Kim was a far more ruthless, brutal, merciless, not to mention more meticulous planner than his father, and saw to continue his traditional practices of censorship, oppression, and religious and political persecution whilst simultaneously maintaining the facade of a democratic Korea. He also oversees the modernization of his military forces, with the annexed nations forces, combining a staggering 25,000,000 strong. This newly acquired power was first demonstrated in a show of force against Japan, which joined the GKR rather than face complete destruction in 2018.

Afterwards, the GKR began annexing many other East Asian countries including Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Papua New Guinea, Brunei, East Timor, and Singapore, with the exception of Malaysia joining voluntarily. Eventually, the evil Jong-un set his sights finally upon the United States, and after using a satellite-based EMP strike to destroy the American electrical grid, the Korean Armed Forces launched an invasion against the west coast of the United States, eventually reaching its furthest point at the Mississippi River.

As Kim Jong-un does not appear in Homefront: The Revolution, he might have went into complete hiding, thus avoiding any punishments and repercussions for his atrocious crimes.

• In reality, Jong-un became the leader of North Korea on December 18, 2011 after his father's death.
