King Croc is a minor antagonist in the 2008 video game adaptation of Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa.

Biography

King Croc is the leader of the crocodiles who are seen at the shores of the watering hole as well as guarding it from others. One of his crocodiles is seen being held captive by tourists and was presumably neglectful to send a rescue group free him as the imprisioned crocodile was freed by Private instead to help scare each of them away at a museum.

King Croc made his appearance as boss at the level Watering Hole where he refuses to allow King Julien to make the watering hole as his kingdom with his forces patrolling the lake. As a response, King Julien sends Gloria and Maurice to defeat him and battle against him and his crocodiles. With the first wave of crocodiles disposed of, Gloria and Maurice both battle King Croc as he throws Mangos at them as well as summoning more of his crocodiles to prevent them and can summon a shockwave to knock Gloria and Maurice away if they are too close. After the clash between them and King Croc, he ends up losing and sinking in the lake.

After the Watering Hole was claimed by Julien, King Croc had the remaining crocodiles defend the water caves and to prevent Gloria and Moto-Moto from meeting up with the other lady hippos as revenge for taking the watering hole away from them. Each of the crocodiles, however, failed to stop them as Gloria shoots out bubbles to trap them in bubbles and meet up with the other lady hippos and presumably lost the water caves afterwards.

King Croc soon had a pathway of the watering hole guarded as Mort goes through the path avoiding the dangers. During this time, Mort was able to avoid the crocodiles and defeat one of the them by kicking mushrooms at him in a nearby log while avoiding the crocodile in the pinball segment of the level.

King Croc later appears inside the volcano where he volunteers to be the judge of the dance competition between Melmin and Moto-Moto. After each two rounds, King Croc agrees to choose the winner with Melmin winning the two rounds enough to win back Gloria. After Moto Moto loses, King Croc is later seen seeing Gloria and Melman talking moments before he accidentally falls off into the lava.

He was later seen dancing in the game credits where he has revealed to survive the fall in the volcano as he is one of the residents seen celebrating the water returned to the watering hole.

Appearance

He is a green crocodile with dark green eyes and also the same features as the Crocs from Madagascar: The Video Game.

Trivia

• King Croc's role in the Madagascar Escape 2 Africa game is very similar to Crocky from Madagascar the game, to the point where you fight off crocodiles and also defeat the crocodile leader.
• King Croc is the Only Animal who is the King of Africa in the Madagascar Universe, Zuba is already an Alpha Lion, so he isn't a King, and Alex was the King of New York who is Zuba's Son, so both Zuba and Alikay aren't Kings of Africa, at least in the Madagascar Universe.
  • On a related note, King Croc is the first and only crocodile to be a king, the closest thing to ever be a second crocadile king was the Crocodile Ambassador From All Hail King Julien, however he was referred to as an ambassador and not a king, despite the fact that there were no kings in the Crocadile Kingdom of that Netflix Original Series.

• he is possibly one of Morris students from Madagascar: The Video Game This is due to the fact that it has the same Morris attacks and also has the same textures and models as Crocs.
• Strangely, their minions are quadrupeds and they are also big-headed and don't even look like their rightful king.
• One of Croc's minions has already participated in Madagascar Kartz on two levels in NYC Zoo where in the lake on the map there are two crocodiles similar to King Croc's minions and Foosa Rocks has the ultra mega crocodile which also has the same model as King Croc's minions
• Possibly he may be inspired by the king fossa since they both have minions that do not interact with their kings and also try to defeat the main characters.
