Duncan was a prince. He feared and suspected that Findlaech, High Steward of Castle Moray, will make his son, Macbeth, King of Scotland. To prevent it from happening, he hired the Hunter, Gillecomgain, to assassinate the High Steward.

In 1032[]

Duncan bared a son named Canmore. He ordered Gillecomgain, who is now proclaimed as the new high steward of Moray, to murder MAcbeth from claiming the throne. But Gillecomgain refused and blackmailed him if Macbeth finds out who gave the order to murder his father. Duncan retaliated by calling his cousin and informing him the identity of the hunter who killed his father. Macbeth, along with the Gargoyle, Demona, killed Gillecomgain, avenging Findlaech. With Gillecomgain no more than a memory, Macbeth is proclaimed the new high steward of Moray and married his long time love, Gruoch, and became the father of Luach. Duncan meanwhile, succeeded Gillecomgain to the role of the Hunter

Fearing that Macebeth might ally with the gargoyles, Duncan, who wears the mask of the Hunter, and about 3 of his men stormed to the cave to destroy them. They managed to destroy one, but the rest of the clan foought their way out. While how own army are outnumberd, Macbeth seeked an alliance with Demona to help him, and swore to protect them from harm. Demona was reluctant at first until the Weird Sisters stepped in and offered to rejuvenate Demona if she would accept. They transferred Macbeth's youth to her, with his consent, and in the process, magically bound the two of them together for the rest of their lives. The Sisters gave Macbeth a magic ball that will kill Duncan. Before they vanished, they revealed Duncan ordered the murder of Macbeth's father, which angered Macbeth. During the war, Macbeth battle King Duncan and killed him with the magic ball, blasting and burning him alive. Thus Macbeth avenged his father properly for good.
