A version of Glumshanks, also known as King Glumshanks, is a minor antagonist in the Netflix cartoon series Skylanders Academy, which is based on the video game franchise, only serves as the main antagonist of the episode “Day of the Future Crash”.
He is the alternate version of Glumshanks, who was a former servant of Kaos and the ruler of Skylands. When Dark Spyro and Eruptor accidentally create an alternate universe, he grabs Kaossandra’s spell book for himself, become the ruler of Skylands and finally got his revenge on someone who doubted him wrong. He is also the archenemy of the alternate version of Kaos.
Like his mainstream counterpart, he was voiced by the late Norm Macdonald, who also played Norm the Genie in The Fairly OddParents.
Appearance[]
Similar to his mainstream counterpart, he is a slim Troll features yellow-brown, bloodshot eyes, two tusk-like teeth protruding from his lower jaw, pointed ears, and three stripes of black hair. His attire consists of a reddish-brown vest and beige trousers, complemented by a crown, three rings on each hand, and a pair of necklaces.
Biography[]
As a downtrodden Troll servant, Glumshanks endures mistreatment from his master, Kaos. During a battle with the Skylanders, in the absence of Crash Bandicoot, Kaos commanded Glumshanks to seize the spell book. Seizing the opportunity, Glumshanks took the book for himself. Empowered by the dark magic within the spell book, he exacted vengeance on those who wronged him and ascended to rule over the Skylands.
