Biography[]

King Koo Koo is a near microscopic king who has a part of him expand every time he laughs at someone else. He finds that the curious little trio that has been brought to him do a good job of making him expand overall when they subjected to Sir Leonard Looney's gags. Before the King can find a better use for them, the Raggedys and the Camel escape out an exit, leaving King Koo Koo to shrink back down to his regular size.

King Koo Koo then decides that the Raggedies are perfect and will be just what he needs to accomplish what he has been waiting for his entire life - his "Last Laugh." Sir Leonard Looney warns him about achieving this with "Alright, shorty, it's up to you."

He calls up his cohort Gazooks, a giant, green, inner tube-like sea creature with a massive array of arms and discusses his plans. On the way, he explains to Gadzooks that there is no greater laugh than seeing "the good guys get it."

When King Koo Koo arrives at the ship, he promptly has Gadzooks snatch up as many of the pirates as possible, including Captain Contagious, the Camel, and Raggedy Ann, and has them subjected to tickle torture. Seeing the pirate crew subjected to inescapable tickle torture causes King Koo Koo laugh with delight and expand rapidly.

Later On, King Koo Koo, who had been eavesdropping on Raggedy Ann and Babette discussing with Queasy that King Koo Koo should "blow up", has them quickly subjected to the same tickle-torture. Meanwhile Queasy rockets towards the massive balloon that King Koo Koo has become, with the plan to cause him to explode. Andy, during a reprieve of tickle torture, encourages Queasy to "get 'em - he's full of nothin' but hot air!"

King Koo Koo, who now dominates the horizon, celebrates his enormous size and finally getting his last laugh. As he does, Queasy flies into King Koo Koo's rear side beak-first, like a pin into a balloon, causing him to explode. The magnitude of the explosion is so great it opens a wormhole.

Raggedy Ann, Andy, Babette, the Camel, Captain Contagious, and Queasy are the only survivors of the explosion.

Trivia[]

The film never makes clear what King Koo-Koo's "Last Laugh" actually is, although it is implied it is an act with significant consequence - as noted by Sir Leonard Looney warning King Koo-Koo and Koo-Koo's emphasis on "Last Laugh." He also tells Gadzooks that they are "onwards to victory!" but victoryt of what isn't clarified, he only goes on to say that "there's nothing funnier than seeing the good guys get it! Get it?"

It is possible that Koo-Koo intended to explode from laughing. For him, there was nothing funnier than seeing his victims be tickled uncontrollably as he expanded rapidly until they were tiny specks. Arguably, his "last laugh" would be knowing his victims would be blown up along with him.

In his final moments, as Queasy as penetrating him, King Koo-Koo is drawn with an ecstatic smile as he realizes he is about to explode.
