Past
King Mondo lead his Machine Empire to the Moon, where they drove out Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa. He believed that Earth would be an easy conquest, but was surprised when the Zeo Power Rangers defeated a squad of his Cogs. However King Mondo was intrigued by this more than he was angered, since all of his previous conquests had been boring and too easy and these Power Rangers actually proved formidable.

  +
Where King Mondo came from, when he was built, and who built him is unknown but he and Queen Machina formed the Machine Empire which quickly swelled in numbers and forces. Under the leadership of King Mondo, thier seemingly unstoppable firepower managed to conquer multiple planets. They grew so powerful that even Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd grew to fear them; both openly showing fear when they learned of the Empire's arrival on Earth. During this time, Mondo and Machina built two sons; Prince Sprocket and Prince Gasket as the heirs to thier thrones in the future. However, Gasket fell in love with Archerina; the daughter of Mondo's nemesis King Aradon. As a result, the two went into hiding due to thier taboo relationship much to Machina's sadness as Gasket was her favourite son. Mondo was so angry that he completely disowned off his son, swore to destroy him if they ever met again and named Sprocket as his heir instead out of spite. At several unknown points, King Mondo and Queen Machina employed the intergalactic bounty hunters known as the Varox but never encountered the member named Borax. During their many conquests, the Royal House of Gadgetry never encountered the Hydro Contaminators since they were located on Aquitar which was the home of the Aquitarian Rangers.

  +
Later, the Machine Empire was forcibly annexed into the United Alliance of Evil because they feared Dark Specter but were allowed to continue thier conquests. An unknown amount of time ago, King Mondo utilised the immensely powerful Sword of Damocles in an unspecified attack on an unknown planet. Although this allowed the Machine Empire to conquer the planet, the Sword of Damocles was so powerful that it completely destroyed Mondo. After he was rebuilt by his Empire, he abandoned the Sword on Earth
Frustrated by the Zeo Rangers, King Mondo attempts nearly anything to destroy the do-gooders. With his army of Cogs and trusty evil side-kicks he always has something in store for the Rangers. With his evil powers, he creates all sorts of terrifying monsters to unleash on his enemies such as the Leaky Faucet and Miss Chief.

By 1996, the Machine Empire has conquered multiple planets and decide to set thier sights on the Milky Way Galaxy. Learning of Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd's repeated failures to conquer the Earth, the Machine Empire decide to conquer that planet and show up thier rivals. After Master Vile leaves the Earth in disgrace, the Machine Empire defect from the United Alliance of Evil to reach the planet. Due to thier loyalty to him, Dark Specter does not attempt to interfere as thier obedience is reassured when the time comes.
Mondo eventually got tired of the Rangers getting in his way, but just as he came close to destroying them, the Gold Zeo Ranger showed up and defeated him again. Finally Mondo had had enough of the Power Rangers and unearthed the powerful Sword of Damocles. He grew to giant size and fought the Super Zeo Megazord, but was destroyed in the battle.

  +
Power Rangers Zeo
Mondo later was rebuilt and drove out Prince Gasket and Archerina who had taken over in his absence. He sent in a new monster called Cog Changer and formed a temporary alliance with Zedd, Rita, and their monster. But they soon started fighting against each other again since they both wanted to get the Gold Ranger powers. Eventually King Mondo engaged the Rangers in giant form for a final battle, but was defeated. Later he and the rest of the Royal House of Gadgetry met with Zedd and Rita, who used a bomb to blow up Mondo and the others.

  +
Immediately after the death of the Hydro Hog and the destruction of the Power Chamber, King Mondo and Queen Machina lead the Machine Empire to the Moon where they set up a Skybase on the Moon to serve as their base of operations. Although Machina is trepidatious about conflicting with Rita and Zedd, the two are forced off of the Moon by an assault from Quadrafighters. With thier main enemies gone, Mondo and Machina believe that Earth will be an easy conquest and they send Quadrafighters to test the planet's defences. After learning that it is virtually defenceless, he orders a complete invasion; starting with a platoon of Cogs sent to attack the Angel Grove Power Plant because he wants to prove himself better than Rita and Zedd. Although they are surprised when the Zeo Rangers defeat the Cogs, King Mondo and Queen Machina are intrigued instead pf angered since all of thier previous conquests have been boring and too easy and the Zeo Rangers actually pose a challenge.

  +
Soon after this initial attack though, Zordon begins building the Zeozords but Mondo easily discovers that they're in the Angel Grove Mountains and has Klank send a platoon of Cogs to sabotage them. When the attack is repelled by the Zeo Rangers, Klank announces that Staroid has been completed and Mondo sends the monster to defeat the Rangers only for him to be destroyed. Despite the defeat, King Mondo has the Cogs forcibly install a growth program in Klank and Orbus to enlarge his monsters starting with Silo. King Mondo then accompanies his newly built monster to Earth and makes his first appearance to the Zeo Rangers, mocking them over his theft of Rocky's software. He relishes in watching his creation defeat the Zeo Megazord and congratulates Silo when he throws it into the Sun but rescinds his congratulations when the Megazord returns using the new Zeo Battle Helmets. When Silo is destroyed, Mondo swears to banish them forever before leaving angrily.

However they were rebuilt by the United Alliance of Evil and joined the meeting on the Cimmerian Planet. King Mondo led the Machine Empire and General Havoc in an attack on KO-35 and the Phantom Ranger's planet. However Zordon's energy wave turned him into a pile of dust like most of the other villains and was destroyed forever.

After Tommy reunites with his long-lost brother David Trueheart, David bonds with his brother but mentions the power of their shared arrowhead which Sprocket overhears and reports back to his parents. Intent on harnessing the power for himself, Mondo has his Cogs kidnap David and trap the man in a cave before he sends Mace Face to Earth to deliver his ultimatum and prove that they are being serious. Mondo personally accompanies Klank, Orbus and some Cogs to watch Mace Face defeat the Zords and order the Zeo Rangers to either give the second half of the arrowhead to King Mondo or never see David again.

Many years later, General Venjix, the leader of the remnants of the Machine Empire, still looked up to his former King as a living god over creation. Before his destruction, he was sad that he failed his King years after the Machine Empire fell. King Mondo is mentioned by Venjix, also he shows to his minions a statue of him.

  +
With no other choice, Tommy meets with Mondo and gives him the arrowhead only to be double crossed with Mondo fleeing. Discovering that the arrowhead has the power to let him control an army of evil spirits that were sealed in the arrowhead, Mondo has Klank and the Cogs search for the stone it belongs to. When Autochthon appears in the cave where they placed David, he has Klank teleport the monster out and sends the Cogs to aid the creature who agrees to help King Mondo as muscle. Although Tommy saves David, Mondo finds the boulder where the arrowhead originated and places the arrowhead inside which starts to release the spirits trapped inside. However, Tommy blasts him with the Red Battlezord and escapes with the arrowhead; rendering another of Mondo’s plan a complete failure and his attempt to destroy the Rangers with Autochthon right after also fails.

Whilst studying for a test, Adam stays up late alone at Angel Grove High School ends up falling asleep watching the monster movie "The Bride of Hackensack" during a storm and full Moon. When he wakes up, he finds himself in a strange world where his other Power Rangers have become parodies of classic movie monsters and the Machine Empire have conquered the world. Behind all this is Zordonicus, a dreamified version of King Mondo who conquered the Earth in the dreamworld, although the real version does not appear. Later, after Trey of Triforia transfers his Gold Ranger powers to Jason Scott to deny them to King Mondo, the emperor executes his ultimate plan; recreating an army of past monsters and upgrading them with the Neo-Plutonium Armour. The new and improved monsters are much stronger than they were before and are completely immune to the Rangers' weapons with the ultimate mission of destroying the Zeo Megazord. However, the four he sends out are destroyed by the new Super Zeozords and he is forced to scrap the rest of the now useless monsters.
  +
  +
After the destruction of the Neo-Plutonium monsters, later re-watches the defeats of Main Drain, Punch-A-Bunch, the Drill Master, the Leaky Faucet and the Somnibot and becomes frustrated with his constant past defeats. Prompted by Machina's comment that they lacked his cunning, Mondo decides to destroy the Zeo Rangers himself by unearthing the long-buried Sword of Damocles. He manages to defeat Super Zeozord III and then fights the Super Zeo Megazord only to be destroyed in the battle. However, his computer brain survives and he is sent to another universe in order to be rebuilt. Shortly after the death of the Mechaterpillar, Mondo is rebuilt and drives out Gasket and Archerina who took over in his absence. Immediately after, he sends Cog Changer and forms a temporary alliance with Zedd, Rita, and their Impursonator but they soon start fighting against each other again since they both want the Gold Ranger powers.
  +
  +
At the end of 1996, during the Machine Empire's last days on Earth, Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd confront Mondo and the Cogs to try and claim the Gold Ranger powers. Outnumbered, they summon the Tenga Warriors and send them to fight the Cogs but the fight ends in a draw with casualties on both sides before the Machine Empire and Evil Space Aliens retreat. Later, after Jason gives the Gold Ranger powers back to Trey, a giant King Mondo and some giant sized Cogs arrive for a final battle so the Rangers forgo summoning the Zords in favour of enlarging themselves. King Mondo initially has the upper-hand, knocking down Tommy but his Cogs are destroyed around him even whilst he gloats. With the king alone, Tommy and Trey finally defeat King Mondo once and for all with a one-two energy punch and energy kick combination attack. Due to not being as completely destroyed as before though, King Mondo is repaired within a few days where he and the rest of the Royal House of Gadgetry meet with Zedd and Rita. However, they pretend to surrender and instead use a bomb to blow up Mondo and the others. As a result, the Machine Empire withdraw from Earth whilst the leadership are rebuilt.

Due to being rebuilt during 1997, King Mondo is neither seen nor mentioned in Turbo. However, he and Machina are seen in the Millennium Message that Divatox tricks the Blue Senturion into showing her; revealing that she will work with the rest of the United Alliance of Evil to help conquer the universe much to her disgust.

By 1998, the Royal House of Gadgetry have been rebuilt by the United Alliance of Evil and are forcibly re-annexed into the organisation before reoccupying the Machine Skybase. King Mondo and Queen Machina join the meeting on the Cimmerian Planet to celebrate Eltar being conquered with the Machine Empire once again back at full strength.
  +
  +
Later that year, Dark Specter launches his invasion of the universe and orders his forces to attack. Leaving Sprocket with Klank and Orbus in the Skybase, Mondo and Machina lead the Machine Empire and General Havoc in an attack on KO-35 and the Phantom Ranger's planet. King Mondo is indirectly referenced by Lord Zedd 25 years after his death when he mentions to Ollie Akana how he seeks to become the most powerful being in existence to avoid being destroyed like all previous main antagonists before him had.

  +
King Mondo was a ruthless entity that would do anything in his power to destroy the Rangers and rule the Earth. He was extremely intolerant of failure and unable to take responsibility, deflecting responsibility for failures onto Klank and Orbus even if they had no involvement in the plan whatsoever. He also had an incredibly foul temper; blowing a proverbial gasket any-time that Klank contradicted what his son said. This was most notable in the second episode when Klank said that Sprocket allowed Rita and Zedd to escape and Mondo screamed at them whilst spewing sparks. In spite of his habit of berating Klank for his plans failing, Mondo could give him credit such as when he suggested the uses of Boohoo the Clown and Robocupid (although he did deliver backhanded insults on both occasions.
  +
  +
As shown when sending the first Cogs to Earth, Mondo preferred blitzkrieg tactics; saying "assemble the ground forces, they will never know what hit them." As seen when a Hydro Contaminator came to Earth, he hated things happening without his approval although he quickly decided to help the creature. Mondo was also a very treacherous and underhanded being when it benefited him, kidnapping David Trueheart and using his for ransom. He was also skilled at manipulating others, making Tommy feel forced to give him the arrowhead and then backstabbing him right after he got what wanted. Pompous and arrogant, he hated being given orders or commands by those he considered lesser and blasted Tommy for trying to do so in the episode “Brother, Can You Spare An Arrowhead?"
  +
  +
Despite being seemingly coldhearted, he loved his wife and second son dearly but was on shaky terms with his first son over his marriage to Archerina. He loved his second son Sprocket so much that, on his birthday, he and his wife gave him Wrecking Ball as a birthday present. However, he was not above yelling at his son when he failed such as when he returned Adam to normal in the episode “Challenges.”

Powers and Abilities
Powers and Abilities
  +
*Power: King Mondo was the most powerful member of the Machine Empire, being actively feared by Rita and Zedd as well as Master Vile and being too much for any of the Zeo Rangers. As a giant, he overwhelmed Super Zeozord III; clearly showing that he was stronger than the Zeozords or Red Battlezord and only weaker than the Super Zeo Megazord.
King Mondo is able to fire electrical bolts from his staff, teleport and had skills in hand-to-hand fighting.

  +
*Strength: King Mondo could swing his staff hard enough to instantly rupture a pipe, knock the Pollenator and later Klank to the floor with a single hit and cut Super Zeozord III's Power Axes apart with single swings of the Sword of Damocles.
  +
*Durability: Mondo was hit by repeated energy blasts from the Red Battlezord, multiple slashes from the Defector and was energy punched by Trey and energy kicked by Tommy but survived each with no scratches.
  +
*Non-Ageing: Due to being a robot, King Mondo did not age.
  +
*Acting: In the episode "Trust in Me," Mondo was a convincing enough liar and actor to convince the Rangers that the Defector was a true turncoat.
  +
*Master Orator: Mondo was a very skilled orator, being able to rally the Machine Empire and drive patriotism as well as fanaticism towards following him.
  +
*Teleportation: King Mondo could instantly teleport to any location at will in sprays of blue lightning.
  +
**Earthquake Causing: As seen in the episode “Found And Lost” when Mondo came to retrieve Tommy’s arrowhead, his teleportation could occasionally cause minor earthquakes.
  +
*Monster Creation: Mondo could create monsters from objects at will as seen with Fortissimodo in the episode “Instrument of Destruction” although how he did this is unclear.
  +
*Lightning Rain: King Mondo could fire blue lightning from his crown that could rain down on his enemies.
  +
*Balance: Mondo remained completely upright despite the strong earthquake caused by the Red Battlezord re-emerging.
  +
*Power Sensing: Mondo mentioned being able to feel the power coming from the ancient stone in the episode “Brother, Can You Spare An Arrowhead?”
  +
*Lightning Strikes: Mondo could also generate storm clouds over his enemy and make lightning strike them. This caused a large rock-slide and took down the Zeo Rangers and the Defector with one strike.
  +
*Energy Absorption: King Mondo was able to absorb the energy from the Sword of Damocles to grow giant.
  +
*Self Growth: King Mondo became giant for the final battle but how he did this was unclear as he just teleported to Earth as a giant.

***Teleportation Lightning: Mondo could spray blue lightning from his staff that could turn anyone he wanted into light blue energy balls to teleport them back to the Machine Skybase. He did this to the Pollenator and Adrian.
  +
***Charge Lightning: Mondo could charge up and fire concentrated streams of lightning from his staff that were capable of paralysing his enemies and making them stumble away. He did this when betraying Tommy in the episode “Brother, Can You Spare An Arrowhead?”
  +
***Lightning Rain: Mondo could also fire blue lightning from his staff that could rain down on his enemies and cause massive explosions as well as knock Tommy to the ground.
  +
*Mystical Arrowhead: In the episode “Brother, Can You Spare An Arrowhead?”, Mondo used the arrowhead he stole from Tommy and David in an attempt to control an enemy of evil spirits from the past but Tommy reclaimed it before he could.
  +
*Sword of Damocles: After the failure of the Neo-Plutonium monsters, King Mondo retrieved the Sword of Damocles from Earth as a more powerful alternative to his staff.

This is King Mondo, the Machine King; supreme ruler of the evil Machine Empire and his wife Queen Machina. They have broken away from the United Alliance of Evil and have set out to invade our galaxy. Together, they make up the leadership of the Machine Empire. They will stop at nothing until they conquer the entire universe!
~ Zordon describing King Mondo and Queen Machina.
King Mondo and Queen Machina? They are the only creatures in the galaxy more evil than myself. They destroy everything they touch!
~ Master Vile after being told of the Machine Empire's invasion.

King Mondo is the ruler of the Machine Empire, the father of Prince Sprocket and Prince Gasket and the main antagonist of Power Rangers Zeo as well as a supporting antagonist in Power Rangers In Space.

He is voiced by David Stenstrom who later voiced Demonite and his clone in Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue and Fearog in Power Rangers Time Force.

Biography

Past

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

By 1996, the Machine Empire has conquered multiple planets and decide to set thier sights on the Milky Way Galaxy. Learning of Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd's repeated failures to conquer the Earth, the Machine Empire decide to conquer that planet and show up thier rivals. After Master Vile leaves the Earth in disgrace, the Machine Empire defect from the United Alliance of Evil to reach the planet. Due to thier loyalty to him, Dark Specter does not attempt to interfere as thier obedience is reassured when the time comes.

Power Rangers Zeo

Power Rangers Turbo

The universe’s greatest evils will join forces to destroy the Earth and the entire universe. They will then divide it’s wealth. There’s only one force that stands in their way. This message originates from the year 2000. The next Earth millennium.
~ The Millennium Message as delivered by the Blue Senturion.

Power Rangers In Space

Mondo destroyed

King Mondo destroyed.

However Zordon's Energy Wave turns the entire Machine Empire army including King Mondo into piles of dust.

Wild Force

Let's get started. Several years ago, the Machine Empire emerged from deep space. They tried to invade Earth. Myself and the other Zeo Rangers succeeded in stopping the invasion by destroying thier leader King Mondo and the Empire with him. But now, the last surviving members of the Machine Empire have regrouped under the command of General Venjix and are gathering here in the Sea of Tranquility on the Moon.
~ Tommy Oliver about his past fight against Mondo.
Mondo statue

King Mondo's statue.

Four years later, General Venjix still looks up to his King as a living god over creation. Before his destruction, he is sad that he failed his King years and Mondo is repeatedly mentioned by Venjix who also builds a bronze statue of him.

Beast Morphers

Due to being long dead, King Mondo does not appear physically but is recalled after Scrozzle proposes resurrecting Lord Zedd for Evox's plans. The villains appear to agree to these plans until Roxy reminds everyone of what Zedd and Rita did to the Royal House of Gadgetry so they decide not to resurrect him for fear of betrayal.

Cosmic Fury

There is a saying in this universe, "No peace for the strongest, only survival." Think of all the warlords and Emperors that came before me. They all failed and then were destroyed. People of power, including Rangers, will always try to tear the top dog down. And if you're down, you're done for. The only way to survive is to stay on top. That's why I must become the most powerful being there is.
~ Lord Zedd indirectly referencing King Mondo.

King Mondo is indirectly referenced by Lord Zedd 25 years after his death when he mentions to Ollie Akana how he seeks to become the most powerful being in existence to avoid being destroyed like all previous main antagonists before him had.

Personality

Sprocket: Father, it was his fault. It was his fault. He let them get away, I was perfect.
Klank: Yer highness, you know that is simply untrue.
Mondo: How dare you contradict my son, the Prince, you worthless scrapheap?! Excuses are for the weak. I demand strength and resolve from those in my service.
Klank: Yes sire, I’m terribly sorry.
Mondo: As you should be. Now, I want you to regroup the Quadrafighters and go back to finish what you started. Do you understand?
Klank: Yes yer highness, I understand perfectly. Rita Repulsa and Lord Zedd are as gone as gone, you can count on it.
Mondo: See that I can because, if you should fail me again, you’ll spend the next thousand years sweeping up tin shavings on the dark side of Alpha Centari!
~ King Mondo's temper.

  • Power: King Mondo was the most powerful member of the Machine Empire, being actively feared by Rita and Zedd as well as Master Vile and being too much for any of the Zeo Rangers. As a giant, he overwhelmed Super Zeozord III; clearly showing that he was stronger than the Zeozords or Red Battlezord and only weaker than the Super Zeo Megazord.
  • Strength: King Mondo could swing his staff hard enough to instantly rupture a pipe, knock the Pollenator and later Klank to the floor with a single hit and cut Super Zeozord III's Power Axes apart with single swings of the Sword of Damocles.
  • Durability: Mondo was hit by repeated energy blasts from the Red Battlezord, multiple slashes from the Defector and was energy punched by Trey and energy kicked by Tommy but survived each with no scratches.
  • Non-Ageing: Due to being a robot, King Mondo did not age.
  • Acting: In the episode "Trust in Me," Mondo was a convincing enough liar and actor to convince the Rangers that the Defector was a true turncoat.
  • Master Orator: Mondo was a very skilled orator, being able to rally the Machine Empire and drive patriotism as well as fanaticism towards following him.
  • Teleportation: King Mondo could instantly teleport to any location at will in sprays of blue lightning.
    • Earthquake Causing: As seen in the episode “Found And Lost” when Mondo came to retrieve Tommy’s arrowhead, his teleportation could occasionally cause minor earthquakes.
  • Monster Creation: Mondo could create monsters from objects at will as seen with Fortissimodo in the episode “Instrument of Destruction” although how he did this is unclear.
  • Lightning Rain: King Mondo could fire blue lightning from his crown that could rain down on his enemies.
  • Balance: Mondo remained completely upright despite the strong earthquake caused by the Red Battlezord re-emerging.
  • Power Sensing: Mondo mentioned being able to feel the power coming from the ancient stone in the episode “Brother, Can You Spare An Arrowhead?”
  • Lightning Strikes: Mondo could also generate storm clouds over his enemy and make lightning strike them. This caused a large rock-slide and took down the Zeo Rangers and the Defector with one strike.
  • Energy Absorption: King Mondo was able to absorb the energy from the Sword of Damocles to grow giant.
  • Self Growth: King Mondo became giant for the final battle but how he did this was unclear as he just teleported to Earth as a giant.

Arsenal

  • Machine Staff: King Mondo wielded a large cog-covered staff in battle.
    • Lightning Blasts: Mondo could fire blue lightning from his staff that was strong enough to knock the Pollenator and Adrian to the floor.
      • Empowerment: Mondo could empower monsters by touching them with his staff and frying them with energy as seen with Adrian. He also used this to start releasing the spirits from Tommy’s arrowhead in the episode “Brother, Can You Spare An Arrowhead?”
      • Teleportation Lightning: Mondo could spray blue lightning from his staff that could turn anyone he wanted into light blue energy balls to teleport them back to the Machine Skybase. He did this to the Pollenator and Adrian.
      • Charge Lightning: Mondo could charge up and fire concentrated streams of lightning from his staff that were capable of paralysing his enemies and making them stumble away. He did this when betraying Tommy in the episode “Brother, Can You Spare An Arrowhead?”
      • Lightning Rain: Mondo could also fire blue lightning from his staff that could rain down on his enemies and cause massive explosions as well as knock Tommy to the ground.
  • Mystical Arrowhead: In the episode “Brother, Can You Spare An Arrowhead?”, Mondo used the arrowhead he stole from Tommy and David in an attempt to control an enemy of evil spirits from the past but Tommy reclaimed it before he could.
  • Sword of Damocles: After the failure of the Neo-Plutonium monsters, King Mondo retrieved the Sword of Damocles from Earth as a more powerful alternative to his staff.
    • Laser Barrage: King Mondo could fire a barrage of red coloured energy lasers from the Sword of Damocles. This took down Super Zeozord III with a single hit.

Quotes

Ahhhhhh. How fortunate we are, my mechanical enchantress. An entire galaxy just begging to supply it’s resources to my Machine Empire! Heh heh heh heh heh ha ha ha.
~ King Mondo's first words upon arriving on the Moon.
Mondo: Hm, well then. The Earth isn’t really defenceless after-all. Hmmmmmm, it could be an interesting diversion to have a formidable enemy. Don’t you agree?
Machina: Yes, definitely. Our journey toward galactic domination has been getting boring. Fun.
Mondo: Especially when we win darling. This will be quite an endeavour.
Machina: Dearest, do the Rangers worry you?
Mondo: No, not at all. The Power Rangers have proven to be worthy adversaries. They will be difficult to defeat but it will make it that much sweeter when I scatter them to the far reaches of the galaxy. Na ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
~ King Mondo and Queen Machina when the Zeo Rangers emerged to oppose the Machine Empire.
Machina: Those rusty robot rejects have failed us once more!
Mondo: My majestic minx, you know it has always been my policy to have a plan B. Klank is upgrading the artillery on our savage Staroid as we speak. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
Machina: Oh Mondo, Staroid’s so destructive. You can be so cruel.
Mondo: Oh, please restrain yourself. Not in front of the boy dear.
~ Mondo and Machina's plan for Staroid.
Mondo: My monstrous machine, Silo, has been built by the Cogs on Earth while Orbus is being equipped with the technology to make my creations grow to epic size. Then I will go grab the sinister Silo. Soon, I will be able to launch his power against the Rangers.
Machina: Absolutely brilliant.
~ Mondo and Machina's plan for Silo.
Welcome Rangers to my video game where you are the targets! Meet Silo, software compliments of Zeo Ranger III. Meet Silo. Software compliments of Zeo Ranger III. Huh huh huh huh ha ha ha ha ha ha! Banish them, Silo! Banish them!
~ King Mondo when confronting the Zeo Rangers for the first time.
You Rangers have insulted my kingdom. You will bow before my greatness one day and be banished from the Earth forever!
~ Mondo after the destruction of Silo.
Sprocket: Wow, that thing is loud.
Mondo: Yes, this gives me a magnificent idea my dear.
Machina: Really? Then you must tell me all about it.
Mondo: If this child’s normal cry has such a disturbing effect, what do you think would happen if we increased his volume? Sprocket.
Sprocket: Uh, he’d get louder.
Klank: What that King is trying tah say is soundwaves can become a destructive force if properly used.
Mondo: All of you, quiet. That infant has all of the ingredients that we need to destroy Angel Grove.
Klank: Might I suggest that we send Boohoo the Clown? He’s wonderful with children ya know.
Mondo: Excellent idea, Klank. There may yet be hope for you.
~ Mondo’s plan for Boohoo the Clown.
Mondo:' Well, did you find anything?
' Klank
: Yes sire. Just outsida Angel Grove, we found a hidden pocket of molten lava just waitin’ to be tapped.
Sprocket: Hey, that's perfect. We pump the lava out and use it to destroy the Power Rangers.
Orbus: But that was our idea.
Machina: Lovely Sprocket, what a magnificent plan you’ve come up with.
Klank: Excuse me but this idea-
Mondo: Well, that is enough! I just happen to have the perfect monster to get the lava out of the ground.
~ King Mondo’s plan for the Digster.
Mondo: Contemptible urchins. If there is anything that grinds my gears, it is the irksome laughter of human children!
Machina: Yes, it simply makes my oil boil.
Mondo: They say that children shape the future of the Earth. If we can get those children on our side, we could rule supreme.
Machina: But look at them my love-bot. The little guttersnipes are so well behaved. It’s sickening.
Mondo: Not for long my dearest.
Machina: Do tell.
Mondo: That puppet has given me a smashing idea.
Machina: I’m sure it’s brilliant, darling.
Mondo: Thank you, my Queen. Your compliments mean the world to me. Now I will tell you my plan. It’s time that I played the strings on Earth.: Heh heh ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.
~ King Mondo’s plan for the Puppetman.
Mondo: What is all this fuss about?! Everyone appears to be frantic and I haven’t done a single thing yet!
Sprocket: Who is that creature?
Machina: It seems very unfriendly.
Mondo: Good, let’s help it then. Send down the Cogs. They’ll protect it from those costumed commoners.
~ King Mondo when a Hydro Contaminator arrived on Earth.
I can’t believe I trusted that alien to do my work. Yes, next time will be much better for us my dear Queen Machina.
~ Mondo after the Hydro Contaminator’s destruction.
What are they doing? They’re supposed to fight the Power Rangers, not each other. Time for replanting.
~ Mondo when the Pollenator and Adrian started fighting.
Pollenator: Hey! What do ya think you’re doing?! We were just about to finish them off and get back to lunch!
Mondo: Forget lunch! Think Rangers, you silly celery stalk! Once you’ve defeated them, you can eat all you want but not a second before!
Pollenator: Yo, we were doing that y’know. Why’d you bring us back here?
Mondo: Because your cousin here is incompetent!
Pollenator: Okay, so your point is?
Mondo: My point is move!
Adrian: You can’t-
Mondo: Stay there.
Adrian: I can do that.
Mondo: You go down alone this time and then you finish what you started!
Pollenator: Oh, so let me get this straight. You want me to choose between you and my cousin?
Mondo: I never said you ‘’had’’ a choice. Enough! Get down there, Pollenator, and finish off those plumbian Power Rangers before I grind you both into mulch for my petunias!
~ Mondo forcing the Pollenator into submission.
Sprocket: Hey pop, I bet you forgot that it’s Mom’s birthday today. I think you should get her a musician of her very own.
Mondo: But of course, no-one appreciates classical music more than my precious Queen Machina. That mysterious piano player at Angel Grove High will do quite nicely. I’ll send the Cogs to get him.
Sprocket: Guess what, Dad? I already sent the Cogs.
~ Mondo’s plan that led to the creation of Fortissimodo.
Mondo: So, a little virus shakes them up does it? That could be very useful!
Machina: It is so satisfying to see those pathetic humans scramble over that pathetic machine! We’re so superior!
Klank: Yer majesty, I just had a splendid idea.
Sprocket: I know. Let’s send down our own computer! Since all of Angel Grove seems to be run by computers, it’ll totally mess everything up!
Mondo: Put a cork in it. Sprocket, that was a wonderful idea! It just so happens that I have the perfect candidate! Mean Screen! Let’s see what the Power Rangers do when everything comes to a screeching halt!
~ Mondo’s plan for Mean Screen.
Mondo: A safe journey? Huh, not if I can help it.
Machina: It would be ever so much easier if the brainy one would just get lost on the way home.
Mondo: You know my dear, I think we should plan a special welcome for Billy. Let’s throw him a welcome home party that he will never forget! Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
~ Mondo when he learned of Billy Cranston’s imminent return.
Machina: Broken hearted humans are soooo pathetic. Don’t you agree, my darling?
Mondo: I do indeed. We must take advantage of this. If only we could exploit their emotional weaknesses.
Klank: We do have a monster who causes love sickness for those who come in contact with her ray.
Sprocket: Yeah! We’ll use Robocupid.
Mondo: Brilliant, Sprocket. Robocupid will cause the humans to fall in love with the first machine they see. They won’t fight my soldiers because they’ll be eternally devoted to them.
~ Mondo’s plan for the Robocupid.
Machina: A Main Drain monster? What a simply brilliant idea. He can drain every ounce of energy out of that loathsome Zeo Megazord! Then, when it’s nothing but a shell of its former self, he can smash it to smithereens!
Mondo: Yes! All night long, he's been draining energy from the Angel Grove Power Plant. He is fully charged and ready for battle.
Machina: So, in other words, Main Drain will plainly be the Rangers' main pain.
Mondo: Exactly right. By George, I think she’s got it!
~ Mondo’s plan for Main Drain.
I want that contraption completely out of commission. Drain all of it’s power. When will you Rangers ever learn you are simply no match for the creations of King Mondo? Now I’ll- Where did they go?
~ Mondo as Main Drain defeated the Zeo Megazord.
Mondo: Is the prisoner secure?
Klank: Yes, yer majesty. He is deep underground in a cave below the reservation, protected by one of our strongest energy fields.
Machina: Mmm, how exciting.
Klank: The Rangers'll never find him.
'Mondo: Then the time has come for the ransom.
Machina: Perhaps, my dear, but why don't we raise the stakes and let them know we're serious and not to be toyed with?
Mondo: I knew you weren't just sparkly parts, dear. Why don't we send Mace Face?
Machina: Oh, how dreadful. I absolutely love it.
~ Mondo’s plan for Mace Face.
Come back here!
~ King Mondo when the Super Zeo Megazord avoided a Sword of Damocles slash by splitting up and his final words before his apparent death.
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ah ha ha ha! Puny Rangers, you'll regret the day you ever crossed my path! I wanted that Gold Ranger power! You will pay dearly for denying it to me!
~ King Mondo when initiating the final battle.
Hey! Come back here! What kind of present was that?! You haven't heard the last of King Mondo and the Machine Empire!
~ King Mondo after being destroyed by Rita and Zedd.
Aaaaah, what a lovely day for a total victory!
~ King Mondo when attacking the Phantom Ranger's home-planet and his last words.
