King Monster is the leader of the Monster Clan and the main antagonist of the 1975 tokusatsu series Symbol of Justice Condorman. He is a monster with three faces, which occasionally take turns speaking. In meetings with the rest of the Monster Clan, King Monster sits at his desk in the back of the room behind the board room table.
He is voiced by the late Shōzō Iizuka, who also voiced Hakaider, Emperor Banba, Iron Man Mask General Temujin, Commander-in-Chief Golden Mask, Satan Egos, Führer Hell Saturn, Demon King Psycho, Great Emperor Kubilai, General Deathzero, Org Ninja Dokusai and Great King Mons Drake of the Planet.
Biography[]
King Monster met with his executives in their board room at the Empire State Building to discuss "Operation: Japan Hunger", their plan to take over Japan. He appointed Satan Gametsku to oversee the early stages of the plan's completion.
When Gametsku was slain by Condorman, King Monster summoned Red Bat, the twin sister of his secretary Gemsler, to take over operations in Japan to deal with Condorman. After Red Bat's repeated failures to defeat Condorman however, King Monster allowed Salamander to reign her in and take over the Monster Clan's Japan branch.
When Salamander was defeated by Condorman and contacted King Monster asking for his assistance, King Monster opted to blow up Salamander's office building in an attempt to kill both him and Condorman as punishment for his cowardice.
King Monster would later appoint Oil Snake to succeed Salamander as head of the Monster Clan's Far East operations and tasked him with defeating Condorman. He also showed all his subordinates a vision of Monster Hell, where he had sent the deceased members of the Monster Clan to be tortured, to show them what would happen if they failed.
In the finale, after Condorman stopped Hedoronger's sludge rampage, King Monster appeared before him and began using his powers to wreak havoc across the city. Condorman attempted to attack King Monster with Dragon Condor, but King Monster easily blew the bird out of the sky. Condorman then attempted to perform an attack to punch through King Monster, but even this did little to phase King Monster. However, Condorman was able to land a blow on King Monster's weak spot, his third eye, but this did not kill him. Instead, King Monster decided to leave for the time being, telling Condorman he would appear again with a league of new monsters to challenge him.
