The King of Faubley, also known as The Pig King, is a major antagonist in The Rising of the Shield Hero franchise.

He is the perverted and gluttonous ruler of the powerful kingdom known as Faubley, being feared by other nations for the kingdom's advanced and modernized technology, as well as for the fact that he's murdered, tortured, and raped thousands of women for his own sick pleasure. He is the older brother of Aultcray Melromarc XXXII, the brother in-law of Queen Mirellia Q. Melromarc, and the uncle of both Malty S. Melromarc, and Melty Q. Melromarc.

Appearance[]

The king was described as a hideous man in all things and not just appearance. He was so ugly and hideous that Melty described him as a writhing ball of flesh.

Biography[]

The king rules over Faubley as his title suggested, the largest and most powerful country in his world with advanced technology and weaponry to an extent that weaker nations do not dare to cross him. He is also the older brother of Aultcray, the former king of Melromarc. The queen of Melromarc however was distrustful of the king as something happened with him. When Naofumi asks about the King of Faubley, the queen used her fan to obstruct her mouth and face another direction. She explained that the king gave over to the basis of his desires and viewed women as toys to entertain it.

While he may not be especially smart, he still has enough brains to defend his rule over the country. He also rivals Malty when it comes to his skill hat power plays. He is also a sadist with a repulsive lust towards women which makes him truly an enemy to them which can result in potential brides becoming suicidal which had been a preferred method of execution of foreign lands marrying off women to him when they become far too problematic.

One particular victim was kept alive for more than three months with magic and medicine including a Yggdrasil elixir. He also allegedly planned to have Malty S. Melromarc as his 10,000th victim. However, Malty escaped that fate by being in service to the heroes with Mirellia wondering what might happen the moment Malty gets the king under her thumb given her track record of how many people she had managed to deceive.

When the four Heroes were ready for their audience with the King who was said to have had a habit of sleeping past noon, it was revealed that he was killed by Tact Arusahorun Faubley, aka the Whip Hero, who took the throne.
