King of the Bee Bots is a one-shot minor antagonist in the Sonic Boom TV series. He is a fusion of Miles "Tails" Prower and a Bee Bot, created after the two ended up inside an active teleporter. Soon after, the merged entity succumbed to the Bee Bots' hive mind and proclaimed himself their king.

Just like the original Tails and his video game counterpart, the King of the Bee Bots is voiced by Colleen O'Shaughnessey in English and by Ryō Hirohashi in Japanese. The former also voiced Belinda from the same series and Pastry Cookie.

Biography

Before departing for the Villain Retreat, Eggman programmed his Bee Bots to attack Team Sonic members on sight in his absense. Most of the Badniks ended up defeated and locked up in a cave, but one went after Tails, who was testing his Master Transporter. The Bee Bot bumped into the fox cub, and the two ended up inside the active device, and merged into one being during the teleportation process. While his friends intend to undo the transformation, they realized that due to the device's instability, the process may kill Tails, and had to postpone it to take part in a rescue mission. Although Tails' new abilities made him stronger, he also became connected to the Bee Bots' hive mind, who pressured him to joined them. Eventually, the new form, as well as fear of being rejected, corrupted Tails: he refused to rescue Chumley, and eventually freed the Bee Bots from captivity, proclaimed himself their king and led them to attack Team Sonic. When the team began to fight back, they discovered that the Bee Bots' link caused Tails to feel pain whenever one got destroyed. They sought out Eggman's help, who fixed the Master Transporter and had Sonic lure King of the Bee Bots into it. Tails and the Bee Bot were finally unfused, after which the robot was promptly destroyed, while Tails was left without any memory of the incident.
