Kinokonga is a mushroom-themed monster working for the Satan Empire and an antagonist in episodes 22 and 23 of The Kagestar.
He is voiced by Tadao Futami, who also voiced several monsters in the Kamen Rider series.
Biography[]
Kinokonga was originally Dr. Miyashita, a scientist experimenting to create an immortality serum from mushrooms. When he tested out his serum on himself however, Miyashita was transformed into the mushroom monster Kinokonga and promptly murdered his lab assistant. The voice of Doctor Satan then spoke to Kinokonga and offered him a place in his empire, should he defeat Kagestar and Bellestar.
Kinokonga and his Satan Empire Combatants crept up on Suzuko and her friends while they were vacationing at a resort. He began using his mushroom gas to turn people into mushrooms. Kageo, along with Inspector Tonda and Detective Nakihara, drove to the resort to help but Kinokonga sent his spores to terrorize them. Kinokonga and his combatants then descended on Suzuko as she was sitting beside a pool. After turning her friends into mushrooms, Kinokonga and his combatants captured her and tied her to her chair before tossing it in the pool. It was then however that Kagestar showed up to battle Kinokonga, soon being joined by Bellestar after Suzuko got free of her restraints and became Bellestar. After his combatants were beaten back, Kinokonga opted to flee and ran into Masako as he did, kidnapping her to use her as a hostage. Kagestar and Bellestar chased after him and confronted him on a beach, where another Satan Empire Kaijin, Kanigabura, rose out of the ground and appeared to assist Kinokonga.
Kinokonga and Kanigabura then fought Kagestar and Bellestar in a two-on-two battle. Kagestar managed to destroy Kinokonga with his "Kage Kick", prompting Kanigabura to exit the scene.
