Kirby is the main antagonist of the cartoon Dedede: Comin' At Ya! written by King Dedede in the anime Kirby: Right Back At Ya!. Unlike the actual Kirby who is a benevolent star warrior who cares for others, this interpretation of Kirby is an monster who devours everything he sees. He is voiced in-universe by the actual Kirby.
Biography[]
Dreamland was threatened by Kirby. Upon arriving, Kirby sucked up all of the land's sheep.
King Dedede witnesses Kirby attack the people of Dream Land and even kill the mayor and police chief of Cappy Town. Dedede knew he had to stop Kirby from terrorizing everybody for any longer. With this, Dedede challenges the pink monster who attempts to kill the king with fire. Dedede sucks up the fire breath to become Fire Dedede.
With Escargoon summoning the Warp Star, Dedede continues his fight with Kirby, supposedly defeating him.
However, it gets established in the next episode that Dedede is still fighting Kirby, so the war against him is still on.
Trivia[]
- Kirby was initially intended to be the hero of the cartoon. He was changed to be the villain due to executive meddling by Dedede who wanted to make himself the hero.
