The Kkangpae is a major antagonistic faction in Grand Theft Auto Online and also appear in Grand Theft Auto V. They are a Los Santos crime family considered the "Korean Mafia" involved in a wide range of criminal activities, especially theft. The group is linked to the Los Santos Triads.

The Koreans do not play any important role in the main game, appearing only in free mode, evidenced by not even appearing even once in the storyline. In Online, however, they play a somewhat major role. Amid the occasions of GTA Online, the Kkangpae makes an appearance amid the heist setup mission, Fleeca Work - Kuruma, they will be guarding an armored Kuruma in a stopping part in Del Perro, that the GTA Online Hero must take to utilize as an getaway vehicle amid The Fleeca Work. The Kkangpae will assault the player within the Fugitives.

The Kkangpae reappear in Los Santos Summer Special as the main antagonists of a series of missions called A Superyacht Life, with the exception of the first mission where most of their members are killed by the protagonist, including their Boss. It is implied they use yachts to taffick Italian, Chinese and Albanian sex slaves. Despite the death of their boss and most of their members, the Kkangpae reappear during the events of the Los Santos Tuners update as the antagonists in The Union Depository Contract during a planning work, in which they defend one of their bosses from the player who is attempting to acquire his elevator keycard to access the Union Depository.
