Joseph Jhonson, better known as Knife Ripper, is a main villainous protagonist of 616 GAMES' indie horror game Trash Night. Seemingly an innocent garbage man with a hobby of photography, he is secretly one of the most cruel serial killers in America.
History[]
In past, Knife Ripper was one of the most cruel serial killers in America, who loved tormenting his victims for days, including tearing their faces off and wearing them as masks to psychologically torture them, before killing them. He also cooked their body parts to eat them. Eventually, because of the smell of blood, his neighbors called the police, who investigated Joseph's house and found the bodies. However, the killer managed to escape.
Nine years later, Joseph, who now works as a garbage man with a hobby of photography, was hired by Jerome to take photos of his previous house. Stabbing a woman to death at the beginning of the game, he picks up the trash, before going to his previous house, entering it and making six photos. Leaving the house, Joseph encounters Jerome and explains him that he was making photos, before returning to his house.
The next day, after revealing his photos, he handles them to Jerome, who tasks him with taking some more photos. After taking four of them, Joseph returns to his house, reveals them and goes to sleep.
The next morning, after handling the photos to Jerome, Joseph offers him a beer, which he previously drugged. After Jerome falls asleep, Joseph ties him up and puts on his mask. When Jerome wakes up, he starts interrogating him for information, including slicing him with a knife, stabbing his eye out with a fork, and sawing his leg off with a chainsaw. After finding out that Jerome wanted to get his revenge for his brother, who was one of his victims, Joseph makes fun of him and tells that his brother "bled like a pig". When Jerome seemingly dies from all the torment, he shows his disappointment and leaves the room. However, after returning, he finds out that Jerome is still alive and guns him down, stopping Knife Ripper once and for all. Unfortunately, the torment managed to break Jerome down, possibly corrupting him into becoming new Knife Ripper.
Personality[]
At first, Joseph comes off as an ordinary person, who acts friendly and calm with others. Despising his job, he wants to become a photograph, secretly hoping that one day he will be able to start his new career. He also fears Knife Ripper and shows disgust to his crimes.
However, when he finally dropes the facade, Joseph shows his true colours of a sadistic psychopath, who kills his victims for fun. He loves psychologically tormenting his victims by tearing their faces off and wearing them as masks. He's also not above making fun of his victims, such as insulting Jerome's deceased brother.
