Knuckles's Father is one of the two overarching protagonists (alongside Longclaw) of Sonic Cinematic Universe .

He is Knuckles the Echidna's father who trained him as a warrior and was searching for the Master Emerald which Longclaw and the giant owls hidden and died during the war.

Biography

Sonic the Hedgehog 2

Knuckles' father was a member of the Echidna Tribe, he disliked the fact Knuckles wanted to join the war but he was too young and disallowed him while he, Pachacamac and the Echidnas ambushed Longclaw and was going to kidnap Sonic, until Pachacamac shot her with an arrow while the Echidnas were preparing to kill her. Knuckles' father died at the hands of Longclaw, leaving his son the last living member of the tribe.

Knuckles's father made two cameos:

1. There was a puppet inspired from him.
2. He was designed as a cosplay.

Knuckles still made his warrior training while his father is posthumously minding him to become a warrior and fight.

Trivia

• Knuckle's father is supposedly theorized to be the live-action version of Locke the Echidna, but perhaps Jeff Fowler the director wasn’t allowed to use debut Sonic characters from comic books in movies. After the release of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Ken Penders, a writer who worked on the Knuckles the Echidna comic book series and more, expressed his intention of launching a new lawsuit against Sega and Paramount for supposedly using his characters in the film, claiming Knuckles' unnamed father in the film is directly referencing the character Locke from the Knuckles the Echidna comic book series.
• Although the actual version of Knuckles' father never spoke on-screen, the puppet version of him speaks in an exaggerated British accent.
• In one scene with his son, Knuckles' father's tunic can be seen clipping through his chest. This is surprisingly the only scene in Sonic the Hedgehog 2 that did not get fixed in the final version, whereas as the other scenes with animation errors, like Knuckles' dreadlocks clipping through his arm, were fixed.
