~ Ogino to Yu Ishigami, chapter 88. |
Ko Ogino is a minor antagonist in the manga and anime series Kaguya-sama: Love Is War. He is a former student at Shuchi'in Academy Middle School and Kyoko Ootomo's ex-boyfriend. He is also responsible for turning one of the protagonists, Yu Ishigami, into the person he was at the beginning of the series.
He was voiced by Kengo Kawanishi in the Japanese version and by Matt Shipman in the English version of the anime.
Personality[]
He was shown to be a popular student for his being friendly and upstanding student among the school. But in reality, he was nothing but cruel manipulative, lying, and charismatic cheater who tried to patronizing Ishigami when he discovered his affair and never truly loved Ootomo.
Biography[]
Not much is known about Ogino's background, other than he was Ootomo's boyfriend and the president of the Drama Club. He was one of the most popular students at the academy and was always surrounded by people. Until one day, Ishigami overhears Ogino talking to someone on the phone and approaches him about it. Ogino claims it was his girlfriend, but Ishigami knew he was lying and was actually cheating on Ootomo.
In the classroom, Ishigami confronts Ogino about the affair. Ogino tries to buy Ishigami's silence by offering nude pictures of Ootomo to him. This led Ogino to get beaten up by Ishigami. However, he did it in front of the other students, making look like Ogino was the victim while he accuses Ishigami of being a jealous stalker.
After the incident, despite getting away with his crimes and pushed all the blame onto Ishigami, he became paranoid of Ishigami deciding to revealed about the truth or come back for revenge. However, Ootomo broke up with Ogino when Kaguya told the truth of the situation to the Shuchi'in VIPs and was forced to transfer to another school.
